OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v AZ - Thursday 24 October at 8pm **

I will be making my pilgrimages to MegaLane™ in days to come and I hope my distinctly Canadian accent isn't cause for someone to hammer me as some Johnny Foreigner. I've been all about Spurs since sitting in my grandad's sitting room in Belfast learning all about Spurs as he regaled me with tales of Danny Blanchflower.

Point is, Spurs attract fan from many different cultures and for many different reasons. Mine was the love an Ulsterman had for one of Spurs greatest players. Nowadays, it's Koreans coming in to spread their appreciation for Son Heung-Min. But maybe soon it will be the Dutch adoring VdV or Swedes for Deki or Bergvall. Doesn't matter. Whoever is there to cheer for Spurs should be appreciated and welcomed.
Pass me the cold milk Danny.

Always was a get it done type of game, some major positives

- 3rd win on bounce in competition, 7 wins in 8 in total
- 9 changes including GK and kept a clean sheet (returning player didn't get the obligatory goal)
- Two 18 year olds and one 17 year old start
- Moore left and Johnson right looked quite balanced
- Richi got a goal

All in all, very professional day at office

As interesting comparison, United started a LB in 10 role and drew their 3rd game in Europe (they have 1 win in their last 11 European Games and that was a year ago)

Sorry if my post sounded like I’m anti foreign fans. It’s quite the opposite
I just wonder where they get the tickets from
There was groups of 3 or 4 booked in clusters who were all mates
Was odd and not what you get for a league game
You come over here and I’ll buy you a beer for sure

Club works with official supporters clubs and there are licensed resellers (holiday/hospitality packages)

Sometimes they just are one hotspurs members who look for tickets the same as everyone else (hence cup games are easier)

In most cases the foreign fans pay more than locals ..

Genuinely think having Mikey start against Palace would be one of those. But I totally get Ange protecting him for another year.

But the lad is incredible.

Can't see him starting having just played most of the game last night but he's certainly put his case forward

In a way I hope not. He needs protecting. But bloody hell his impact did remind me of Rooney. He started at 16. Harry was different. He edged his way in. Mikey seems different to Kane.

But quite frankly I'll leave it to Ange how he calls it tbh. He's a fantastic man manager.

These were possibly lads working in the UK
They spoke some English but not fluently
None and a clue where they were staying and some groups didn’t understand they had allocated seats
Was odd
Was similar in the Quarabag game

Maybe the saves he needed too and also his passing was fine
Better than the centre backs managed
I refer you to post 282 of this thread

Good performance, made the saves that matter.

He is a bit of a player like Werner in that I'm not sure why people get so wound up about him .. won't be part of the team next season, always was a gap solution and in his case, clearly seems to take on a bit of senior head helping the others in the squad
