OMT - Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Tamworth FC

Why? The pitch looks like any other artificial grass pitch. If they can't handle that, they might as well quit playing football! And I'm fudge7kg serious about that! The conditions for playing football are near perfect on that surface!

Not in my experience. I play weekly on a 3g pitch. Depending on the weather the bounce is especially different IMO. Getting the right boot will be critical, especially if we want to avoid further injuries. WIll we wear turf shoes? Low moulds? I think if there is frost on that surface, it will take us 10-15 mins at least to get used to it. Personally, I think the surface we have art Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is perfect, even better than the Lane (I have spent time on both pitches albeit not playing, just marveling at what it would be like to play on surfaces like that. I think we'll struggle for a little while before it makes sense to us...

Wouldn't you just love to be there today? I would! You can't beat an awayday and these days away tickets are so so hard to get hold of, which is why we could do with a decent FA cup run. The lucky 800 fans who are there - are they all platinum ST holders or are normal away ST holders there as well?

He'd be accused of showing huge disrespect if he didn't attend (which would be fair imo).

Ah, of course, I didn't even think of that angle. I would only be relieved if a hotshot chairman of another club didn't come to my little town team, but not everyone is like me, thankfully. 😅

I'm fully expecting us to make a pigs ear of it and have to bring on the big guns in the 2nd half
It's who we are mate

Would need to wait to see the team, but I am confident in the youngsters if they are called on.

Just need to have some players who will protect them if Tamworth go in a bit hard on them.

I think it's who we were

I probably shouldn't as a Spurs fan but I'm really looking forward to the game today. A proper old-school cup tie at their ground and hopefully a chance to see a run out for a couple of youngers players.

Need to approach with the right attitude and respect the opposition. That being said should be confident of a good win with a few goals. COYS!

Guess we wanted to show Tamworth full respect. In a way it’s not a bad thing. I would expect us to make early subs so at least players can share minutes with Spence coming on for Pedro Porro etc

I'm sorry but go away Ange

Why no Lanskear instead of Werner
Why no Dorrington instead of Gray/Dragusin

Why Son/Solanke/Kulu/Porro even in the squad, they should be at home resting up ahead of Arsenal on Wednesday

You just know with Werner/Johnson up front we will have to bring on Solanke/Son/Kulu to win us the game or rescue it

Good to see Moore starting. Was hoping Lankshear would as well, and Porro got some rest.

No Richalison though...

He was never scheduled for this game, 2 weeks full training and if he comes through unscathed then we'll probably see him on the bench.

Bit of a wounder for Lankshear, you'd think we'd want more of a presence up top and Werner to come on later and stretch the game. I think Ange was understandably concern by the completely unnecessary red card in the EL.

I thought I read somewhere that he was expected back this weekend. Thought he might make the bench, but I'm happy for him to take his time so he doesn't break down in his first game back again
