Hard to believe how far we've fallen

But then we have a Pochettino type appointment (RDZ perhaps?), get a couple of good lads in, and we’re straight back up! We football fans always talk in these «final» terms, as if anything is ever just this static fixed «now all will be well forever» - it goes up and down, sometimes quick, sometimes slow. We can’t stay up forever (not that we ever have), and we can’t stay down forever. Things can change quickly. The future is lilywhite!

Should have been relegated at the time for state aid.

So glad they’ve gone down.

Not hard to imagine the scene as the wind blows through a half empty stadium, silence in the air, as they watch a mid-week, wintery 0-0. Kind of makes up for it.

I'm not sure of that scenario after watching the play off game on Saturday. I keep hearing that the Championship is the hardest league but the quality looks very low. In Bowen they have a player who could win promotion first time of asking, its scoring plenty of goals that usually get teams up, they all work hard and defend like their lives depend on it.

Wow that was nervy. Please can we not do that again.

A lot of blame to go around for being in this position in the first place and a lot of credit for managing to stay up to go around too. Most of all to De Zerbi, he made the difference. Big summer coming up, but for a couple of days we can just breathe again. fudge this season, but got away with it.

Special mention to Kinsky though, what a turnaround from Madrid. Absolutely fantastic to see. Great to have some stories like that in this dumpster fire of a season.
