Archway Steel wasn't it?
Archway Sheet Metal, even. For some reason I confuse them. Anyway, they are the most plausible suspects for hexing us.
Archway Steel wasn't it?
Fundementally I think we are brick and I have done for quite a while. Ange's first season or at least the begining of it was a good reprieve but we eventually fell back to a more accurate level. I do not believe this team is capable of playing front football effectively. I just don't, we of course rate our players very differently, so that's an area we will likely never quite agree on.I have made my opinions on Frank very clear. I have also acknowledged that he did not necessarily get the support necessary from those around him. I have also made my opinions very very clear as to the mistake I think was made by the club in the summer with regards to (essentially) brickt ing hard on a trophy win in Europe and finding a spectacular way to suck the life out of the players, club and fanbase by continually telling us how 'shi t' we supposedly are. You say he set up to compensate for things we lacked? I disagree. Defensively solid? Come on. He essentially decided to set us up to play counter attacking football via long balls. If you think that is compensation, then we have very different ideas.
As to the earlier post from someone who bored off about the 'style mob' turning up and complaining early doors, let me be very fu cking clear.
I was TOLD we were being set up to play exciting, attacking, front-foot, daring football.
We were NOT!
Had there been even a DEGREE of honesty, it might've been easier to stomach.
Finally, and again addressed to THAT poster in particular (cannot remember who it was0...;the day I apologise to people like YOU for wanting my football club to continue standing for what they've always stood for is the the day I walk away from football. F uck THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I do think that these next 9 games require a win at all costs/methods mentality - like the last four in the EL did last season)
You know EXACTLY what you did with your first comment.
I will NEVER apologise for wanting us to be who we are.
Our major issues came when he started to encounter injuries.
My consistent question was 'what are we building and what are we being patient for'? You care to tell me? Because when he was sacked (far too LATE IMO) we were the sum total of sh ite and heading south.
I don't especially want to argue with fellow postees, we're all upset, but I can't be having low-ball studs up stuff like what you threw in there...
Did we ever ban a man and his goat from WHL?I have alluded to that in the past, I am sure there is something in it. Or was it under that building on the Paxton that held up the build (forget what it was called now), was it a curse??
Yeah that will be the vid they show in referee school on clear-cut red cards not given. I will say in real time, the trajectory of the ball looked like he made contact with it.
Surely it has to be. I mean, we've mostly been the creators of our own misfortune, but man have we had a massive share of bad luck too. Nothing surprises me anymore.
It's soul-destroying watching them. I've never been more certain of anything than I am right now that we're going to be playing 2nd Division football next season.
We're bad, but dropping us down 3 divisions in one go is harsh. It's soul-destroying watching them. I've never been more certain of anything than I am right now that we're going to be playing 2nd Division football next season.
The football gods have been bending us over for years. I think they must have been asleep when we won the Europa last season. No doubt they were fuming when they woke and heard the score. This season is their vengeance.
Yeah, he really is.he is thick as mince isn't he
I cannot believe how VAR didn't send him straight off. Compare this to that light scratch down VVD's calf that had Xavi off to the shower, and it's even more baffling.Yeah that will be the vid they show in referee school on clear-cut red cards not given. He's 79 and would probably die in the dug out when we're 2-0 up against Forest, only for the game to be rearranged with us losing.
I'm beginning to think there are some minor inconsistencies in the officiating standards of the game.I cannot believe how VAR didn't send him straight off. Compare this to that light scratch down VVD's calf that had Xavi off to the shower, and it's even more baffling.
The trouble is everyone can see it apart from the people who run our club. Everything from the past few seasons, the player recruitment the manager and coaches recruitment and DOF and technical staff recruitment has been slowly bringing the club down. The only bright spots was winning the Europa League and reaching the Champions League final apart from that it has been slowly downhill for about 5 years nowAn interim manager who has lost 4 from 4 and conceded 14 goals along the way whilst clearly tinkling off members of the squad with harsh treatment...
If my surname was Lewis, I'd be drawing conclusions pretty quickly.
Clear red
That's a bold statement. Very bold.I'm beginning to think there are some minor inconsistencies in the officiating standards of the game.
When was the last time we came back stronger from anything?Anfield is a definite loss. Let Romero/Palhinha sit that out, they were both clearly dazed.
Then come back stronger.
