Again, is it a mistake to jump the way Dier did? If he'd jumped with his hands behind his back and got six inches off the ground you'd slate him for that. I'm not defending his other, legit, mistakes. But today was not one of them.

How have they made such a balls-up of a simple video ref? Just let them tell the normal ref of any obvious mistakes. You can't get the exact frame for when the ball leaves the boot to check offside with millimeter precision, so why revisit it?

Team will now try to kick the ball at defenders' arms. It started in the CL final, we saw it again against Southampton. Today, we should have been out of sight, then a bug in the system, and we only get a draw.

It's not the video ref that is the problem. The handball rule was changed so that any ball on the arm or hands when the arms are out is a handball. The decision was right, given the rules but the rule is ridiculous.

Thats never a pen with any sensible application of the handball rule. Not in a million years. Sadly they’ve mangled the rule to such an extent that these are being given. It’s ruining the game.
