This MoM thing is all a bit cringey
Looks good but won't get so much space in the premiership, however this loan can only work in his and our favour
I think the lack of loans under Poch was a hindrance to their development. I get Pochs argument that they were playing with better players in training, but training matches are never going to be at the same intensity as competitive matches. So Skipp is becoming an interesting study, and we will have some decisions to make
- Norwich are 7 points clear at top of table, very strong chance of automatic promotion
- If they come up, do we leave Skipp on loan with them for another season
The second question is interesting because I want to compare him to Winks
- Winks never played in championship
- Skipp is on track (7 more games) to play more games in a single season at 20, that Winks has ever managed at 25.

Tend to agree, but some loans are not good unless the player goes to a club that suits his play. Norwich were the perfect club for him and his style of play. Some loans are worthless as the player does not really fit and its a waste of time.
They do want to keep him for another year but at the moment nothing has been agreed.
I'd suspect we are playing wait and see
- The loan for another year only makes sense if they get promoted
- What our midfield outs will be over summer

I'd like him to drive forward with the ball more often, he has the ability to do it but he's a little cautious with when to make those runs. Which given his age is understandable, hopefully he further develops his confidence in that aspect.Just watching the Norwich game. Skipp is a very good player. His awareness both on and off the ball belies his years and experience. He is light years ahead of Winks in this respect.
Buendia is a brilliant player. He has just missed a bit of a sitter but is great on the ball and constantly moving to buy himself some space to receive it.

He was better 2 seasons agai when they went up that time IMOYes he is, only 24 and i believe his contract runs out this summer. Could be worth a punt if they keep Skipp for another year.
On the one hand, we desperately need competition for Hojbjerg - every time he goes down is a heart attack because of the prospect of it bringing Sissoko or Winks onto the field. Skippy is perfect for that role, and with his constant playtime and evolution this season, I think he'd be ready.
But on the other hand..these minutes are proving invaluable for him. And if Norwich get promoted, as seems likely, and they want to a) keep him and b) keep playing him as their first choice CDM in the Premier League...I think the year of risk-proofing, constant playtime and growth in the Premier League will bring us back an absolute star at the end of 2021-2022.
Works for Norwich, works for him. Will it work for us?
I wonder if one way out would be to buy someone like Ruben Neves this season, who can play along Hojbjerg as the deep-lying playmaker and allow Tanguy to go higher up again. He can also do a good job as a lone DM, which means Hojbjerg going down wouldn't be the end of the world because he could shuffle over and Tanguy could drop deep again. That would allow Skippy another year out on loan to grow.
Either way, good problem to have.
