Still got that and my SNES somewhere. Doesn't look like they've updated the graphics?Enjoying Flashback on the Switch
Still got that and my SNES somewhere. Doesn't look like they've updated the graphics?
it can be played it two modes: in its the original SNES guise, or in Modern Mode which contains post-FX graphics filters, remastered sound and music, a "rewind" function, and some handy tutorials
Will RDR be on the Switch?
Three hours into the new red dead and I think its quite boring, to be honest! Always dislike intros to these games, much handholding and run of the mill type stuff. I'm sure it'll pick up though.
I have heard nothing but good things about it. Shame of it is the plans to bring it out on Switch have been shelved.
Funny. A lot of the reviews I've seen are saying it is extremely slow and dull.
Really? My mate has it and I watched him play about 10 minutes of it and its like a film.
I think that is what those people are complaining about. It's more like a film than a game.

Is it just like GTA but in the wild wild west? when is online mode coming out for it?

Is it suitable for a 10 year old? What's the worst stuff in it?It starts out quite slow, but after the first two hours it just opens up, and ... it's just fudging immense. I find it a bit hard to describe though, as it's not so much ... it's not exactly challenging, just like the newer GTA games. You kind of just stroll through every mission more or less, and the hardcore "game" aspect of it is sort hard to point out - you don't really need to be particularly good at any of the game mechanics to do well in it, so to speak. But I think that works really well with these games, they're not supposed to be about grinding out this our that, but just exploring and going wherever you want when you want to. Freedom!
It's more of an experience and exploration. The scenery is just ... out of this world, it's so fudging beautiful I just feel like stopping up and turning 360 degrees wherever I am to take it all in. And the details! Just incredible. No game before it has ever paid this much attention to detail, surely, it looks just astounding.
It does have its mechanical flaws (searching for loot inside a small cabin is kind of clunky, and the shooting/aiming is quite weird at times etc) - but the game is just so massively impressive, beautiful and somehow immersive, it's just ridiculous. Truly just wide, wide open. You can go anywhere and do anything, and interact with just about everything you see. I don't think there's ever been a more open sandbox game. You can ride somewhere at random through beautiful woods and get to some remote cabin somewhere, break in, rob the loner guy living there, find some valuables in his drawers and read his little diary detailing his life out there, and there are just so so so many little things to explore and discover.
And it's fun! Just pure old fun, to play. Not exactly challenging, but fun just the same. I'm zenning the fudge out when I play anyway, hours just pass by, and I have to go to bed (booo).
It's excellent, in my opinion, and after the first couple of hours, really immersive, and just a joy to play. I'm thoroughly enjoying it, and can't see myself doing anything other than watching Spurs and playing this game in my spare time in the foreseeable future, haha.
Yep, pretty much! Only more details, larger and ... yeah, western. Not sure about online.
Maaaaaybe, but I wouldn't quite go there. It's certainly easy, but it's nowehere near one of those "you just float around in space and explore stuff" type of games. I bought that space game a while back, what's it called, No Man's Sky, and couldn't stand it - so fudging boring. This is just nowhere near that. It's a living breathing world - the closest you could get to a Westworld at this point. So many activities to just fudge about with. And it doesn't feel like chores, it's just ... I don't know what it is exactly, but doing all the small little things like going hunting and fishing or hunting for that one weird gunslinger guy to take down - it's like meditation due to the vastness of the game and how breathtakingly beautiful it is.

Sounds good. I think i may buy it, although having a kid and a Mrs that likes to watch TV with me, time is limited. Im lucky if i get on for a couple of games of pro evo of a night. Would love to just play it all night and into the early hours. By 10ish im ready for bed these days!
