**Official Other Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

I really hope United won't party all week and do a professional job against Arsenal. I can see them playing the kids or the second best players at least.

 yeah because I mean Man Utd will now think "oh we've won the league, lets take it easy against Arsenal"

Man Utd will rip Arsenal to brick

Oh well, that's not good for the Arsenal game, is it?

Except the bit where they'll have to applaud them and RvP

Tbh if reports are true that Fergie has set his sights on the PL points record, then we are in a no-lose situation. Win tonight and the record is still on, a draw and they still need points to secure the title.

Not that for one minute do I think United will take their foot off the gas at Arsenal

can't see SAF wanting to do Arsenal any favours next week, quite the contrary in fact - im sure he's see's it to Uniteds benefit that one of them and Chelsea get ousted from the CL places by us

I hope you are right. It's not like they have a cup final to rest players for and there is no international tournament in the summer so why would he rest players? I'm sure Van Persie wants to win that golden boot too.

No chance, Fergie will be thinking its a chance to knock one of AFC / CFC out of the CL places

This too. City actually might have done themselves a little favour for next season with that defeat yesterday if it means we finish in the Top 4 at the expenses of either Arsenal or Chelsea, pretty sure they would move up a place in the CL rankings as we have less pts.
I think somebody posted that that one place could be difference for them between being in Pot 2 and not Pot 3 next season
