Didnt see interviews, please dont tell me he has backed Suarez !!!

He didn't want to comment on it, saying he needed more time to review the incident, then proceeded to talk about other incidents from the game - implying they were just as bad. Like an alleged elbow on Carrager, an incident he was very happy to elaborate on.

He didn't specifically back up the rat, but it was still a pathetic display.

Rafa Benitez did not see the apparent Luis Suarez biting incident as the Chelsea interim manager complained about the amount of stoppage-time after Liverpool snatched a 2-2 draw at Anfield.

Chelsea appeared set to climb back into third spot until Suarez headed home an equaliser at the near post in the seventh minute of added time.

The goal denied Benitez victory on his return to Anfield and merely added to the controversy after Suarez appeared to bite Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic midway through the second half.

However, after the game Benitez wanted to focus on the injury-time allotted by referee Kevin Friend after saying he missed Suarez's bite.

"I thought we were talking about football and we have the game nearly won, and it's a surprise why there are six minutes," Benitez told Sky Sports. "We don't know.

"The rules are very clear. Sometimes it's three minutes if you make six substitutions, or sometimes it's four minutes, but six minutes is not easy to see in any game, and six minutes 45 seconds is even more difficult.

"If we analyse the last goal, it's something we can do nothing about except maybe defend a little bit better.

"But still, six minutes 45 seconds is something I don't think we will see in any other game."

Regarding the Suarez biting incident, Benitez said: "I didn't see anything, I was concentrating on the game. I didn't see any incident."

Well, for starters it took two minutes to take the penalty.

some Chelsea fan:

"I miss Mourinho, because when he was around, officials didn't fudge around with us, as they know they would have got a right gonading. I didn't really want him back, but I hope he does come back now. There are no positives in being well liked, which is what that fool Abramovich is chasing."

To be fair I think he handled about as best as he could have without hanging him out to dry live on Sky.

The owners won't stand for that brick. Suarez is gone.

Re: Rodgers' handling of the biting incident - I would argue that Jol did even worse in the Defoe case:

"He was nibbling his arm - there will be no mark. Ask Mascherano if he has got a mark," said Jol.

"It is part of the game. They kicked him three times from behind in 10 minutes and he wanted to show his frustration in a nice, comical way."

Part of the game? Nice and comical? Well done Martin! :ross:

Sevilla Athletico Madrid been a bit of a dire game but I like what I see with Kondogbia, 20 year old Defensive midfielder for Sevilla, has looked good everytime I've seen him play
