**Official Other Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

Re: **Official Other Teams & Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

Crazy!

Seems to be the date doesnt it.. Last time we won at OT was 1989 too I believe :)

Re: **Official Other Teams & Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

The most recent example of a non-league team beating top-flight opposition was Sutton United's victory over Coventry City in 1988–89.

The last time a non-league side beat top-flight opposition away from home was Altrincham's victory over Birmingham City at St. Andrew's in 1985–86.

No non-league team has progressed past the fifth round since the second world war, this occurring most recently to Crawley Town F.C. in 2011

Not good at all. Some great games today in the FA Cup with a few cup sets yet we got City/Stoke and now Utd/Fulham. Four prem teams..

WHY!?

Money.

The domestic cups hold very little interest to the general public these days. The FA cup doesn't get remotely interesting until the quarters, the league cup not even in the final. I only watch games involving Spurs unless I'm really bored.

So at least 7 non-PL teams throught to the last 16, with 3 ties to go, but by tomorrow night all the Top 7 teams in the PL could be through

Not even a yellow.

Good one Howard.

Re: **Official Other Teams & Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

Horrible tackle with no intent on getting the ball at all, jumps a double feet stud stamping. Should get a lenghty ban for that.

Re: **Official Other Teams & Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

fudging Stoke...

I wonder if any journalist will have the balls to ask Pulis about this. Really gets on my nerves how he gets on his high moral zebra about diving when his team does brick like this in addition to the very regular shirt pulling, cynical fouling, shoving and in general being dingdongheads.

And the first and only non-league team to have won the FA Cup ? Tottenham in 1901.
Good coverage of that win here :

Such was our great tradition in FA Cup that it is a real pity we have not won it since 1991.

Really surprised to note Luton is now a non-league team. IIRC, they used to be regulars in the old Div.1 in the 1980s and won the League Cup by beating Arsenal in 1988.

There was quite a bit of coverage when they went down as their fans tried to attack players on the opposition team and generally acted like the ****s they are.
