O/T Olympic Football 2012

That Senegalese side was disgusting and a disgrace. Wild, dangerous tackles throughout the game. And the referee allowed it. Their number 10 should have been sent off about three times. And how it was not a penalty and a red card for that tackle on Bellamy was qutie unbelievable. A goal kick????
A shame that that team got a point after such behavior.

I thought Caulker had a decent game though. Rose was hit and miss, but hit a couple of good crosses at least.

Did anyone see how Sandro did for Brazil?

I thought Caulker was absolutely appalling he was like the invisible man, near the end Bertram ran 20 yards to clear a header while Caulker just stood like a statue underneath it, I hope this was just a one off bad game for him, I agree about the officials they were disgraceful.

He wasn't great, although he had a far from dependable partner in Richards. Swansea fans went mad for him though so must be something there

Absolutely appalling? Really?

I didn't notice the event you mention at the end, but other than that what did he do wrong in your opinion?

He watched play without influencing it, for a CB he was a peripheral player, granted Mica Richards was pulled out of position a lot but the reports I have read on here about Caulker was that he was fast and a "reader" of situations, on last nights performance he does not attack the ball or cover, from what I saw he could have watched the game from the stands and had the same influence, I just hope it was not his usual standard, I was very underwhelmed by him.

I only half watched the 2nd half so wasn't really paying attention, but one of my mates, a Wednesday fan, was raving about Caulker from last nights performance.

beats me mate, can't think of any other reason really, it's not like he's a c*nt in the Cole, Terry, Ferdinand type fashion, was a quality footballer in his day, very patriotic, hugely successful. Don't get the hate personally, but there you go.

ive come to learn that you cannot be taken seriously, with all the tripe you talk. caulker was outstanding yesterday and anyone who says otherwise doesnt understand football

The only answer I can give you is to ask you too describe what you thought he done well, as an after thought I think you talk a load of gonads as well.

:ross: no jealousy, just don't get why he's a "national hero" when his biggest achievement for England is reaching a quarter final. If that is the yardstick for hero status then Emile Heskey and Danny Mills deserve the same treatment.

I would wisper that if i was you,or you will get the Queen sending you to the tower. Do you not know he is the greatest man that ever lived. :ross:

thats exactly what is wrong with the world. people hate heroes. jealousy mate thats all it is. he has done well in every thing he has done. yet everyone mocks him. has he killed anyone no.

has he done lots for charities .yes
has he done lots for england and gbr. yes
is he a role model . yes

ok lets hate him

pathetic mate, honestly. seems anyone that does good is a **** in this country and its pathetic

jealousy. PURE AND SIMPLE like the lightning seeds

and putting him on Heskeys and Mills level... fudging joke fella. not even worth commenting on. oops i did.

Agreed. What kind of simplistic thinking is saying he only got to a quarter, but so did Emile and mills. I mean really. What brain thinks like that? Okay, you don't get the hero worship, but to say that's all he did... Just ludicrous. The guy has been a football pinup (not in that way) since he broke out, THAT goal against Greece, his passion and desire. His fudging ability. The work hes done around the world promoting football.

Oh why bother. He's not a hero in my eyes, but hes a bit of a legend. But whatever you think, to slag him off and say he's not better than Emile... I give up...
