Honestly it's still very early with Pocchetino isn't, but the signs are good. Unlike you I don't think we need a whole new approach, we just need someone who can make it work.

All of that said I still think AVB will be around come January first and I still think there's a good chance he'll turn it around.

Hmmmm Biesla until the end of the season MIGHT be an inspired appointment. I think Soldado and Lamela will certainly strive that's for sure.

I still think Capello is criminally underrated by most. His brand of football is not as negative and boring as people like to make out...in fact i think his sytsem suits this league far more then the one we're currently playing.
 
Id bring Harry back in a heartbeat - few caveats though - like no Crouch haha.

Although QPR havent actually been that entertaining - they have been a stronger more efficient team this season - so says my father aka ST Holder.

completely echoes my thoughts entirely.....was desperate for him to suceed.

probably Hoddle in the short term...re-evaluate next season.

We've not played well under AVB. A few players have come on - Bale, Sandro, Vertonghen. We lack a psychologist, a motivator, so when we run out at WHL the team are psyched, ready, confident. We don't look like we know what we are doing and can hardly pass the ball.

What is it about De Boer that makes him your preferred candidate GB? He's obviously unproven as a manager outside Holland, but just as obviously he's gotten a young talented Ajax side to play some very exciting football in Europe (and probably at home too). Anything more going on?

Right now I'm sad and frustrated like I imagine most to be. I'm not angry, I think some are.

Unlike a solid portion of the posters here (and I'm assuming the fans in general) seeing the back of AVB wouldn't make me happy at this point. It would take someone a bit special coming in to turn my mood around right now. Why I'm more on the "give AVB more time" side of things perhaps.

If Bielsa came in though I think I would almost immediately replace sadness with excitement and frustration with hope.

Given the names being thrown up here then we are better sticking with AVB. None of the caretakers are going to get us CL or a trophy and some of the 'proper' names are a nightmare.

Liverpool are a season plus ahead of us in having a settled side. **** performance today, beyond belief, but we gain so little by ****ting our load now.

'cus he's not ready :) Well maybe he is right. AVB is not a mug. He's smart, knows his stuff. But he's reacting to the way the team is playing (not all that well) instead of setting them up to play well. If that makes sense. I don't think there is a happy ending with AVB. Things may get better but I don't see him delivering motivational leadership to compliment his tactical skill set.
 
Why not Roberto Mancini ? He has won ton's of trophies , and are currently in Turkey . He is still young aswell
 
At this stage you don't want to bring in another 'project' - a motivator (experienced) is what you need IMO. We have a lot of new players - they need to gel, getting in someone who wants to play chess with them isn't going to help.
 
I favour a coaching commitee of King, Freund and Hoddle. King works with the defence, Freund with the midfield and Hoddle moulds the rest into an attacking force in his own image :p
 
Madness to even consider Laudrup or Pochettino on the basis of being one season / half season wonders. We need an experience man who is proven over a period of time.
