It seems to me that there is a lot of bitterness and rancour from the fan base towards Tim. I personally think we need a manager who the whole club will get behind. That said I like Tim and in a perfect world we would get to see him develop. He has brought through a number of youngsters we probably would have never seen under the previous incumbent. Unfortunately in the current PL a coach does not have the luxury of experimenting. If any of these youngsters amount to anything and I think the likes of bentaleb and fryers will, we will have a lot to be thank ful to Tim for. Ironic really when to many posters it was the last bloke who was creating the legacy.

Levy might just regret not getting LVGs signature in a contract back in Dec/Jan

There you go. Your last sentence says it all. Its best to think we are getting Dave Bassett. That way anyone we do get will be an improvement

Anyway I'm not just talking about the Man U and **** jobs. Both the Cheatski and City owners have shown they don't like being second best. Also there's no guarantee that he will come to the prem. He might change his mind and go back to another European job.

Maybe just maybe he will fancy the Spurs job. Just don't understand why some think its a certainty as if we are on a level playing field with Bayern or Real Madrid.

I'm almost certain that Arsenal would not go for LVG, he would be far too much of a culture shock imo. Man Utd will be the main competition if LVG does consider us an option.

Do all the hard work, get used as a steppinng stone, vehicle to the PL. We get our hopes up, Arsenal or Man Utd get their man. Appreciate it's Chelsea, but Willian and Hazard spring to mind. Just trying not get my hopes up.

Bentaleb is the only one that didn't play under AVB, though he was an unused sub on one occasion. I'm not counting Veljkovic's two minutes as being brought through. In fact, AVB included several youngsters in his match day squads.

I really cannot for the life of me understand what it is Sherwood has done to make people think that in a perfect world the best thing to happen would be for him to be our manager long term?

What is it that makes him a better option than some of the names we've been linked to like LvG?

I was surprised, but eventually not opposed to us appointing him when we did. And he's done alright. But he hasn't done much more than alright and to me at least he hasn't done anything to indicate that he's something special. And to get where we want to be I think we need someone a bit special.
 
Hopefully whoever it is, that is appointed as our next manager, tells the team that we start our matches in the FIRST minute, not the 45th!!

I like TS but ideally I wouldnt mind LVG with TS as his 'protege' so to speak. That way we have some continuity going forwards

I think almost everyone would take LvG.

Problem is, when you say names "like" LvG there actually isn't anybody else "like" LvG. He is unique. So the question then is, who do we go to as second choice if we don't get LvG?

- Pocettinho
- Rafa
- Jurgen
- Laudrup
- Ancellotti
- de Boer
- Spalletti
- Mancini
- Hoddle
- Capello

I think we need to be thinking about the choice we have to make if it's not LvG or Ancellotti because both of them are still odds-on not to happen.

So who is that name from the list? I would not be at all surprised if at this point Levy is thinking Sherwood.

The thing is Talksport said last week that LVG would be announced in 48 hours. They then come out with the exclusive info about LVG and the member of the Glazer family.
Spurs haven't said that Sherwood will be sacked, the media have come to that conclusion and now quote it as scripture which sets us up for the fall even more. All the club has said is that they will review everything come the end of the season.

IF LvG does go to OT or the Effeminates, I could quite easily see Levy embarrassing himself courting the sloppy seconds.
