Next Manager?

We're in danger of putting "winning things" on a pedal stool imo and I'm sick and tired of hearing about it.

Build a good team, appoint a good manager- doesn't matter if he's won something before, doesn't matter if he's never won a league cup - "winning" isn't a skill or an attribute, it's an achievement.

Different argument. Mourinho has won loads and EPL experience.
Neither having won things or having EPL experience should rule a manager in or out.
There's more to it than that.
I was referring to why they had been appointed
I’d like to see a manager be progressive with his teams
And ideally one who hasn’t just spent money
Nagelsmann has actually also spent money at RB but they have also sold well too
Under him they are the 3rd hugest spenders and they finish around 3rd.
I’d say that’s actually par....

The net transfer is small and he did well with Hoffenheim where they sold a lot.
I'm not arguing for or against Nagelsmann, but having to have EPL experience or have won something isn't
a prerequisite for being in the running for the job.
Improving players, getting the team playing better than the sum of it's parts and playing attractive football
are more important for me.

Then what about Adi Hütter at Frankfurt, nice progressive football and definately has the team playing above their level currently, improving what on paper is a very average squad.

I agree
I’m not convinced that nagelsmann has done that IMO
He may have got lucky with Hoffenheim and they have spent well to maintain their level at RB

I don't know much about German football so can't comment, will leave that to those with more knowledge than me.

I thought you would have been a fan Chich - what don't you like?

The lack of pace that his teams attack at, I have watched them more then most no Brighton fans due to having mates that support them and also living so close it is sort of natural to follow them a bit. He is not for me, but should he get the job I would support him. I also have it on good authority that the dressing room is split.

The Brighton dressing room is? It doesn't look like it, they work their socks off in any of their games that I've watched and I've watched a good few.

Yeah that's why I ask

Is the pace thing common to Potter teams or something that is a problem of the current team?

It is what I have heard from the partner of a player in the current squad, this will of course sound like flimflam on here. I know the player in question does not always play(did today) so it might just be sour grapes.

Only one player from today isn't a regular, actually looked him up cause I didn't know the name...

He plays with pace when he has lamptey playing IMO. There really short on full backs in their squad and regularly play wingers there
He also has his players coached to change system multiple times during a game
Im a BIG fan and really liked what he did at Swansea and Ostersund (actually winning at Arsenal)
He doesnt buy the players at Brighton but all players I’ve seen thee have improved technically under him

I'm very fond of Iranian restaurants, believe it or not I work with a young lady he was seeing for a bit. His move to Germany got blocked on deadline day so as I say he might be a bit salty.

Met him a couple of times very nice polite young man, crap at football mind.
