Next Manager?

Full control could mean a trusted delegate - i.e. a DoF he approves of, rather than the existing levy-hitchen-pleat committee

This looked to be happening in 2014 when he brought in Ramon Planes (his old DoF from Espanyol), but I'm not sure what happened there (Planes didn't settle in England?)

Does pleat even live in england now? Last i heard he was in marbella.

Full control of transfers is as bad as no control of transfers.

They need to find someone they are both happy working with inbetween to protect the manager and the club's long term interests. Especially in regards in incoming.

I agree. I also doubt that he is asking for that.

No idea on reliability of that. Someone else claiming this guy has been right a few times before but who knows. Seems like its edging closer anyway :D

Nice chat with townsend about poch. Never really heard Townsend have an in depth talk. Comes across really well.

Townsend is a really nice guy too
Another who is sociable and friendly with fans
I’m going to make what sounds like an odd remark, but form my experience of the modern generation of footballers it’s the been the ones I’ve least expected to be nice that are

Just came here to post this. He's called a few transfers early these past couple of weeks, so could be something in it.

I do think giving him total control would be wrong, did he not put a stop to us signing Tielmans?

am genuinely fascinated by this.

On the one hand, I hope it’s true even though it looks like classic ITK flimflam.

I see the argument that the media is used to serve specific agendas, and I do think there is something in these leaks if good journos are reporting them. I don’t know how Spurs would feel they could row back from them if it didn’t come off.

But I’m interested in the calculation here. The idea that Poch would be testing the water. Is he likely to decide against it if Insta comments were a bit lukewarm? Do serious football people actually make decisions that way? I can see it more in a ‘build up to a big announcement for maximum impact’ kind of way, but surely the decision will already have been made, rather than using it to test the water?

Lets not forget these people are after all just people and perhaps he just wanted to feel the inevitable love in from our fans on his instagram post.

Suspect this guy is a complete wind-up merchant, in effect trolling Spurs fans.
Talks may be taking place but a done deal? Unlikely.
Fact is that we Spurs fans are desperate for some good news, and so are ripe to have the tinkle taken.....
