Moussa Sissoko

To be fair my dogs better on the ball than Sissoko it's just that I've just given up saying anything negative on here about him and do my best to pick something positive from each performance, for example in his last game did you notice he only kicked the ball out twice while trying to control it, he is definitely improving :)
I'm glad you have stopped slating your dog on GG.

Yep, have now taken up baiting badgers

Fantastic cross for Moura, he would score that 9 times out of 10 imo. He was scrappy at times, but also passed the ball well at other times. Overall, he probably passed the ball better than Winks did tonight, though Winks finished the game pretty strong, he was truly awful for the first 20-30 minutes.

I thought Sissoko was titanic tonight.

Worked so hard, won basically every 50-50, as well as some 60-40's not in his favour. Bruising physique at times Barca players bounced off him.

His energy was relentless both ways - defensively I saw him working back and supporting whoever needed help, I saw him vocal and helping organise the team.

And then there were those lung bursting, powerful surges forward.... highlight of which produced a dipping inswinging cross creating a great chance for Moura.

And on the ball. Some good touches, didn't give it away, distribution solid, never going to be an Eriksen but he did everything decently.

Well played Mousse.

....if you want to see simple to control balls spazzed out for a throw.

GHod you really are a bit of a dingdong aren’t you?

I mean, yes, fine, he mis controlled a pass and it went out for a throw. Something even our best players have done. After about 80+ minutes of relentless running attacking and defending, taking the ball in tight spaces and driving at Barcelona, always driving the team up the pitch, laying a cross on a plate for Lucas, and just generally being a top player in amongst the heap of top players we had tonight.

I get that you aren’t ever going to change your mind, and I get that your Sissoko criticism is either comedy-schtick or simply you playing your role as the Adrian Durham of this forum to drive engagement (or a combination of both), but really, to pick out the one bad thing he does all match and ignore absolutely everything else that he did that was good? On a night like this? Just plain sad. It isn’t the night for it.

You genuinely think it as well. This isn’t you getting a rise out of anyone, you revel in your opinion inspite of plenty of evidence you are just plain wrong. I’m sure it helps you in other walks of your life, but it must be awfully stressful watching us play and hoping that Sissoko is going to make one mistake so that you get to say what you want to say. Or because you genuinely believe we have someone in midfield that can’t pass the ball, maybe you are always expecting us to lose it.

But this just isn’t the night for it. We had a team of heroes and he was one of them. He more than played his part. I know you know that, so drop the schtick for one evening. You’ll feel a whole lot better.

His passing is improved immensely. Simple stuff was going wrong all the time not that long ago but now you can see the confidence flowing through his veins. Well done big man.

Yes he played some really simple but intelligent passes that created space for the receiving player
