Moussa Sissoko

Not sure about that, Iwobi and Mhikityran went off for Ramsey and Lacazette and later Ghendouzi cane on, they won the game in the middle from what i saw with those changes sacrificing their wide men in the process

Lacazette played wide right
Ramsey played central and closer to aubemayang
First half they had everything come via iwobi

This is the Sissoko thread, right? Best moment for me today - apart form our goals - was when he came thundering in to defend Davies after Son had won the penalty. Magnificent! Although quite what was eating Kolasinac escapes me.

A few weeks back I found it impossible to ever imagine myself taking to Sissy but after Wednesday and now today, he's my new Spurs hero!

Harry offered absolutely nothing, along with pretty much the entire team.
Wow. You do like a bit of hyperbole don't you. Certainly not at his best but third big game in a week may have had something to do with it. He is human you know.

Besides, got precious little service but delivered with the pen and went close with a decent long range fk.

Absolutely no "hyperbole". He had a very poor game, but that is obviously not allowed to say about the glory boy Kane, who can do no wrong. The only hyperbole is people defending Kane, no matter how poorly he plays. Besides, those excuses are somehow not relevant for the other players, only Kane. Strange.....

Funny, I feel exactly the same way about Erikson.
If the result yesterday had been reversed and Ozil had put in that display we'd all be having a right old laugh. Yet 3 people voted for him as MOTM, I find that mind boggling.
We all see things differently I suppose, and I have no lasting issues with any of our players, but it's tinkle me off when after displays like yesterday some get a free ride and yet others get lambasted.

2 costly individual mistakes, the foyth one particularly threw us

Arsenal brought in extra midfielders and over-ran us
In response Poch didnt want to take off front 4 who looked big threat so took Dier out of midfield to a back 3 hoping pushing WBs up pushed us up pitch
That gave them complete control of midfield and front 4 didnt see ball again, including eriksen who ended up in a 2 with sissoko vs 3-4 arsenal players

Mistake was to not sacrifice Son for Winks and go 4-3-3 and bolster the midfield, it was a judgement call which was probably wrong, and was a misread of the game.

That said if either Dembele or Wanyama had been available i dont think poch would have made same decision

Son was our most threatening player so I can't agree with that.
Erikson has a habit of disappearing in games with tackles and hard running opponents, take him off for winks and move dele into Eriksen’s role.
Definitely agree about Wanyama, said all of last season that without that shield the defence just doesn't look the same.

Not strange, just reasonable. Along with his team mates Kane deserves to be cut some slack. Three big games in a week is a big ask. They may earn big bucks but they are not superhuman.

Sounds like you have it in for Eriksen a bit tbh.

On a day when few covered themselves in glory I thought he put in a decent shift overall. I bet if you check his stats out you'll find he covered more ground than most. That's what he's known for despite your suggestion that he disappears at times. He had one spell in particular when he tackled with nothing short of eyebrow-raising tenacity. Something he's NOT known for, but it being the NLD he showed he got it. Good on him too. Also, don't think I've ever seen him get so animated with the ref, he was having a right old go.

So, sorry to rub it in but you definitely got me going.

I don't have a problem with eriksen, I know what he brings to us but I'm also not blind to his faults. He has them, they all do. We don't employ eriksen for tackling and I've defended him on here before for not doing it, or not doing it very well. He is entitled to a bad game the same as everyone, and i will defend him when he does.

What I do have an issue with is just about every player got p elters for yesterday except him, its like he's immune to criticism. Even you've done it to an extent, he covered a lot of ground, big deal, ground covered proves nothing. He was at very best peripheral yesterday, but problem yesterday wasn't just because of eriksen, several looked knackered and arsenal ran us into the ground.
Ultimately, it was a bad day with several reasons for it and it was not down to any one player. We win as a team and we should lose as a team and we should be even handed in our criticism. Not that anything said on here really matters a toss, who listens to us, no one I hope:D
