Moussa Sissoko

brilliant, we must be doing something right if we are getting "special treatment" from the FA so early in the season

ironic that the only thing the FA are transparent about is their disdain for us

just like the Demebele incident last season, officials clearly see it but it's tippexed out of the written report so they can hammer us

clams

A joke. Has Harry Arter been charged for his attempt to break Wanyama's leg earlier in the game?

I hope this time we finally ask some serious questions of the FA about how the deal with these cases. We just seem to let them steamroll us whenver they want without fighting it. At least that is how it looks from the outside. And the FA only looks at things that have been highlighted by the media. No one has mentioned the Artner v Wanyama-incident, so he gets away with it evne though it was ten times worse.

Agreed and as I said above, Arter was mischief making in the first place when he went chasing after Sissoko 3 yards over the touchline.

I don't see what we can do given the FA are the governing body unfortunately.

We can hope our players know what they can and can't do in a game and control themselves.

Ah the old "He impaled himself with my sword routine", are you serious?!

I think Arter's approach caused the incident. I can't say whether it was intentional or not but Sissoko would not have raised that arm if he hadn't been chasing to grab a ball that was 3 yards over the touchline anyway. He was over-hyped all game and ran closer to the line than Lamela did in my opinion but Pawson didn't police the game correctly.

Things like throwing elbows always get punished more than rough tackles. Just like spitting at an opponent gets you a red and a ban. It's not a new rule. Sissoko was stupid to do it.

Like I said, it didn't look like a purposeful act, and it was never going to hurt anyone. Wanyama was lucky not to get seriously injured.

He's a bit unlucky there. He caught him alright but I think he just went to block him off rather than elbow him intentionally. The intent wasn't there IMO.
And when you consider the brick Costa gets away with on a weekly basis it is hard to take the punishments the FA dole out to Spurs as fair. As someone has said it seems to be the media reaction that gets you in trouble rather than the incident.

The question is was he trying to protect the ball/himself by putting his arm across Arter's path so he could grab the ball, take the throw and get on with the game or did he throw an elbow towards Arter? Massively open to interpretation. Arter was hardly a shining example of sportsmanship himself and should never have gotten involved in scrapping for a ball 3 yards over the touchline.

If he did throw it deliberately then he deserves a ban as yes, it was stupid and he'd only been on the pitch a short while so there should've been no previous between the players.

Funny the FA did nothing about McLean's leg-breaker for a 2nd year in a row up at WBA last week mind.

I still can't fathom how video can be used to highlight guilt yet the video also will highlight the ref had a great view of it

Same with the Dembele one and the Lino that had great sight of that
