Morgan Gibbs-White

I wonder how much (if any) input Nuno had in this. If I’m him and about to lose a decent player I’d be mentioning my dishonourable discharge from Tottenham and how they treated me

I think it’s a bit to soon to suggest stability for them.

They finished 4th in the championship, got themselves promoted with a team full of loan players which suggests poor squad planning. Then in the Premier League bought about 100 players that first season but managed to stay in the league finishing 16th. Next season they sacked a much loved manager in Steve Cooper who had performed miracles for them but finished 17th (sounds a bit like us lol) and avoided relegation. They also ran into PSR issues and were docked points. Hardly the picture of stability.

Having said that they did incredibly well last season to finish 7th. Although their end of season collapse was concerning. Not sure if there were mitigating circumstances or not. I like Nuno and he’s exactly the right type of manager to bring them stability. The potential for stability is certainly there. But not there yet.
I think they'll do a Girona this coming season

He is getting £200k a week at forest
We can pay that
We may have offered that TBF on our unofficial talks
But we don’t know what deal has been done
if your a player in this country and you can double your money with a release clause for next season… and have a new baby… and the club that want you isn’t city or pool (clubs who have won titles) … would you stick for a year or twist?
IMO lots would stay
I think that's 100% a feasible scenario

We don't have the clout for signing Wharton, our only chance is before the big boys are seriously interested. It's pretty disappointing we didn't have the pull to get MGW in tbh, even with CL football he's happy to stay with another club with European football.....

That’s the reality. We don’t have quite the pull as a club that many of our supporters believe.

Time for the recruitment team to deliver someone as good (or better) now. Time is a-ticking…and we still need reinforcements up front, as well as an upgrade in defensive midfield.

He's gone from £4m a year to £10m. Wages are a major factor.

Yeah. But of course it's more realistic that he was forced to sign a contract against his will than it being he didn't actually want to sign for us :D.

Agree, need more quality in the forward area and a DM would be great if Frank wants a specialist in that area....

It’s more realistic that they have have refused to sell him and given him £200k a week and a legit release clause for next season
