Morgan Gibbs-White

His stats suggest he's more of a high press player than creator. Although his progression numbers are good.
Not sure what franks plans are but he seems like he could play with maddison.

With him would work probably. That's not where he's played to date though.

Interesting. Why do you say that?
I just meant there are two main types of #10s. The old fashioned subtle playmaker types like Eriksen. Or the more aggressive dynamic goalscoring type like Alli. We used both by Eriksen playing narrow right, and them both interchanging.

MGW is very similar to Alli, while Maddison is much more like Eriksen. Whereas Kulu can do a bit of both styles

I'm just irritated these little admin issues can foul things up. Wrong teamsheet submission etc. not so long ago and more.

If there's anything to show that the director's aren't involved in raising standards in the organization it's these like this. Hopefully recent change with Venkat and top level staff will help.

Idk, if we'd played it by the book we wouldn't be this far - is the other way to look at it.

If we formally submit the release clause, and it goes to court, I don't think Forest can counter by saying you breached guidelines on approaching club before the player. Moreover, once this close, Forest won't want to be left with a player who's head is turned, and must be pragmatic. Despite having a super rich owner who thinks he can bully and cajole.

I know Gibs-White is highly rated by many, I am unsure having not seen him. Idk that he is such a great player. More expensive than Kudus and one of our most expensive signings ever. So I am not as concerned. For 60m there are other targets in areas that we need more quality (unless we're thinking about playing White in a CM spot, which is feasibleible). Clearly the club and manager feel differently and think this is a valuable player who we must grab while we can. And I am sure they and fans are right. But if it doesn't happen, I'm personally not losing sleep over it.

What are they to court for, and against who???
Tottenham have done nothing wrong in football terms

If tested in a proper court, it is highly unlikely that the principle of not being able to speak to a player without their club's permission would hold up. Wide variety of court cases, most famous of which being Bosman have established that normal conducts of employment and freedom to seek employment at a differing employer apply to footballers and overrule association rules.

Suppose Forest refuses to acknowledge our 60m bid. Arguing that the release clause is not triggered because we tapped up their player. The player or Spurs could sue them, because there is a contract that states they have to sell if they get a 60m bid.

They would counter that we didn't approach the club first. We'd say, prove it, and it doesn't matter anyway!

Modric or olise to chelsea says otherwise.

The clubs agree to go through the clubs before talking to the player. That is their agreement to the premier league.

Spurs aren't chelsea though. The people doing these deals have years of experience. Caa also.

That said we have been known to fudge up. Doherty loan to atleti for one.
