Only Porro, VDV, and Bentancur are the outfield players with more minutes than Kudus. Porro is some kind of freak but VDV won't be too far away from the treatment table at this current rate of playing (I obviously hope I'm wrong about that).
Porro doesn't break a sweat to get (back) into position. He won't get injured anytime soon.
VDV is our next big risk, and not helped by our captain's self imposed absence.
 
As predicted, he was played too much, until his leg popped.

This season (and excluding injury time as the numbers never go above 90) he played 85 86 90 90 90 90 90 90 78 90 78 90 87 80 80 58 85 90 19 and then his leg popped.

STUPID from the management team. He needs more rest than that when we are playing every few days.
There is always an alternative player or formation. Always. Now he will get fewer minutes until April i.e. 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0. Stupid.

Certainly also looked like a player carrying a knock or playing through fatigue. Could have been more a form/confidence/whatever thing, but either way the downside of resting him wouldn't have been as high as if he was flying.

And if that was a knock/injury/fatigue it only makes it worse to play him until injured.

With fewer sprints (? - haven't actually seen numbers on this) VdV has been able to deal with more minutes this season than last. Perhaps also what goes on in training is a part of that. But certainly a concern when he has those minutes with his injury history and the typical pattern of really quick players often being more vulnerable to some injuries.
