I don't think Moore will end up as a winger, in development football he has more freedom and plays across the pitch.
He'll be closer to a kulu than Son or Johnson to my eye.I don't think Moore will end up as a winger, in development football he has more freedom and plays across the pitch.

144 crosses in 6 PL games would suggest we do put in crossesWe've not been putting in crosses for years, so far only 25 headed goals scored in 60 PL games this season, probably most from dead ball situations, unless you've got a striker who dominates in the air it's a 50/50 ball at best, I understand they can cause panic in some defences but equally get cleared and lead to counterattacks.

Average of 24 crosses per game, we won't have near that amount of deadball situations. Also a cross isn't just those that are for a header, there have been plenty fired in low or along the ground.Does that include dead ball situation and whether they are delivered by wingers? I certainly can't think of Johnson, Son or Werner crossing that many balls for heading this season.

It's not a pass, it's putting a ball in low, normally around the 6 yard box, e.g. VdV setting up Johnson. And nobody said Moore can't do it, it was the only thing missing on Thursday that Ange looks for from his wingers.Must be I'm just and old bloke a pass along the ground was just a pass but a cross was in the air. All of our players can get wide and pass across goal so I don't see why there is a concern that Moore can't, he's supplied lots of chances in youth games passing along ground from wide positions.

I don't think he'll stay out wide, I think he'll be used through the centre. Reminds me a lot of Gazza. The one thing missing from his game last night that Ange will probably be looking for from him as a winger is putting in good crosses.
I think he attempted one all game. He's normally played on the left wing but I wonder will Ange look to use him on the right mostly to avoid him coming inside like Son on the left.
Anyway, if he continues to progress like he has been we have a superstar on our hands.
Behave yourself Little Barry.Well done. Sure he will get a lot more minutes this season. But please practice with your left foot.
Or eventually he'll start scoring.Let’s just hope if we create any clear cut chances then none of them fall to Werner because eventually his misses are going to cost us.

Sky just showed some stats, 144 crosses and 1st for crosses with a game less played...I find it strange that VDV did not pass the ball across goal, the figures in the table show our wide players (Johnson/Son/Werner) only "crossed " the ball only 26 times which seems to me that our wingers don't cross the ball that often.
I think it's still a bit too early for that. Though if Ange did I would definitely support the decision.Ange, please start him in the next league game if Son isn’t ready.
