Mikey Moore

Looks more and more like he could do a job for us this season. Hope he gets more than a few chances.
Hope so too. It may take some time. Even if it took 2-3 years before he started to really do a job for us he'd still be a young player. But he seems to be getting to where he's ready to get the chance to show what he can do already.

Will be interesting to see when Moore is given more time on the pitch than brief cameos. Even on TV the excitement and hope in the stands when he's brought on is clear. Not just the singing, but it seems like a lot are just as eager as me to just see him get the ball to see what he can do.

But it's also a big step up. From barely having played U21 football last season to playing in competitive games for us. Perhaps he needs time to understand what he needs to do on and off the ball. Perhaps he needs time just to get used to being on the pitch at this level. Perhaps he's not quite as ready as we want him to be. Perhaps he is more ready than he's been given a chance to show so far.

Hope he gets more minutes soon, mostly just because I hope he's ready for it and seen as ready for it by Ange.

We weren't on it as much, game had died

Had two good moments, big run on the left side and the shot (if that had gone in top corner would have been crazy
Yeah, did well when he got the ball, but didn't really get the ball much.

Good to see him get a bit more than just a handful of minutes, even though the game was as good as won when he came on.

From Maddison, and just great to here this from a senior player:
"Mikey Moore, I have to sometimes pinch myself and remember how young he is! He's very powerful and only going to get stronger as his body grows. He's a great kid. A really well-mannered, polite young man and that's a credit to his parents"

Didn't look out of place and one of the better performers. Another couple of performances like that and he will be pushing as a starter or at least second choice on the left.

😁takes me back to the early bale days. He won't need a left he has magic in his right.

No doubt he has magic in his right. But if he has magic in both he'd be even better. Best practiced with his left so much he was better with his left. Charlton used to wear a plimsoll on his right (in training) to stop himself kicking with it.

It's not a criticism. Just an area i think he can improve.
