Midfield link - who's the man we need?

Valbuena had a great world cup, maybe even the best of the French. 7mil is a good price.

Is he smaller than Lennon? He looks tiny.
 
Valbuena is unreal, him Eriksen and Lamela behind a striker :D Lacks a bit of height that trio, though.
 
How about Blind as the man that plays alongside our DM?? Despite playing as a left wing back for the national team, he plays as the deepest man in a midfield three for Ajax. He has good defensive awareness and he knows how to switch play. Would cost a fraction of what Schneiderlin is going for

Starting to think experienced is required ... the whole team is almost too young now.

A good Naybet/Davids option now could help immensely.

Asier id prefer tho, he gets stuck in a bit more.

Schneiderlin is the ultimate signing tho. The whole package/perfect Spurs signing imo

So Banega has officially signed for Seville now, as their replacement for Rakitic.

Bizarrely it seems they are still trying to sign Badelj as well (they are similar players).

Looks like all our eggs are in one basket re Schneiderlin.

He's still a bit raw. Would be nice to have a similar, but better, player for Bentelab to learn from.


I don't expect Bentelab to play much when dembele, Sandro and paulinho are back in the picture for the squad. Which is a shame as we need that creative spark, that link between defence and offence.

I think my idea of what a CM should be has been ruined by Modric, he is an exceptional talent and I've not quite readjusted to realistic expectations yet.
