Agreed. Bergvall didn't let it get to him though, good to see. It's an over reaction, probably shouldn't be aimed at an 18 year old making his debut. But it happens in the heat of the moment and Bergvall dealt with it which is a good sign.

I hear so many people on podcasts trying to pronounce Bergvall like they do in Sweden - but just leave it. Swedes pronounce G like a J in certain instances (like with Bergvall), but whenever Brits try to do that, it sounds bloody awful and like you're saying a completely different name. Straight forward Berg ("burg") - Wall is more than good enough. Best regards, a quarter Swede.

Got some min for Sweeden today at the end, lost the ball and stayed too far back i atack. Lost the ball and missed on tackels.. 18 so it can go frow great to awfull from one game to another

Bergvall was excellent against Coventry City i thought. Always looking to go forward and not afraid of taking risks.
Some didn't come off but he is getting adjusted and I think he will come good in 2-3 years.
So many strengths: first touch, vision, passing range, not afraid to get stuck in, quick feet and ability to shake off tight markers
If he can toughen up physically and improve decision making (will come with experience) he will be a very very good player

What impresses me most is the way he shapes himself to receive the ball to give himself more space and time. He shows a real awareness of what’s going on around him. He’s got serious potential.

Don't think it will do any damage. He'll understand why it happened, the coaches and teammates will understand that it was difficult for him and support him.
He wants to be a player at this level, that much seems obvious. He has the talent too. Part of that is taking one for the team like this (unless you're already one of the best players). Think he'll handle it fine.
