Kyle Walker

He did help the general push for the whole England Team.
His energy and runs were fantastic.
So we now have 2 excellent full backs on the right.
We need them both of them for next season.

The Times gives Walker 6/10! "Pressed back into his own half too often by excellent Ramsey and resorted to over hitting attempted crosses from deep".
Really? Seriously? Ok his crossing is not his greatest overall attribute but from deep? Pressed back too often? What do these journalists see when they watch a game? (Rhetorical question as looking further down the ratings Vardy and Sturridge are each given an 8/10. So obviously they see goals and little else).

Vardy done nothing but got lucky in an offside position and that is it.

Would that be Henry (I'm John Terrys mate) Winter

Do you think that journalists actually watch the game?.... They take up whatever freebie food/booze/goodies that are available, chat to their mates and then at the end of the game take a look at the score and the goalscorers and try to write a report around that.

The report of the Slovakia game in the Metro this morning also had the usual marks out of 10 for each player. Alongside Jamie Vardy it had 6/10 and the comment "Slovakia couldn't handle his pace so why did England stop playing to his strengths".... Errr perhaps that was because after we had put balls in behind for Vardy twice reasonably early on Slovakia dropped their defensive line about 20 yards deeper!

No not really. But every now and then some comment is so off the mark (more so than usual) that it strikes a chord. I was probably being a bit more reactionary on that occasion with it being our own player.

Clyne wasn't dreadful today but Walker in the form he's been in doesn't need to be rested.

Clyne had the easiest first half i have ever seen. Weiss just let him run past him time and time again. As soon as they changed it up and puy the LB on Clyne didn't do anything.
