To be honest that is not a fair comparison Janssen has one season in the English league, king has had 7 seasons at 6 different clubs. Janssen is also a couple of years younger then King.

Janssen proves nobody not even Poch really know about players!
Until they see them at work in thier team.

I presume you are aware that Josh King is not solely a central striker? He plays as both a winger and off the man striker

You can see enough in Jansen to see why Poch bought him. Hard working, young, clear quality on the ball, he's found it tough but has never ever hidden which shows he has that mentality Poch wants. One bad season goal scoring wise, ESPECIALLY his debut season doesn't mean anything - ask any striker they've all been through tough periods, it's how they deal with it and from what I've seen of Jansens attitude he will blossom....

The thing is, prices are so inflated these days I don't even know what market value is anymore. I'm just going to go with if we pay it then it's a good deal because we manage our money so well I'm not overly concerned with fees......

Good point, i just fear that IF we buy King he could stop the progress of Janssen ( who i still believe us going to be a very good player for us), as i have said King has had one good season and when i have seen him he has never looked anything special. I know some will jump in here and say they have not seen anything special in Janssen either, but i wonder if they really believe that or have to stick to their scenario that Janssen is brick and a bad buy.
 
Janssen looks the type that needs to be playing week in week out, to be the main man, in order to build up some form. He will not get this at Spurs.

He has been through adversity in his career so far which has made him mentally strong, but I'm talking about building form and on the pitch understandings with teammates.

I think he would be excellent for a side like Swansea where he would be their main striker playing every week.
 
cant see us spending the money on King - if they can spend £16m on Ibe (before inflation of this year) and £20M on Ake surely they would want a fair bit for an attacking player to a bigger club.

All players do. But he won't be playing week in and week out. However, even though he hasn't, he is still banging them in for Holland. Which shows he has the ability to step right in when needed. And if his second season improvement is half as much as Son's, we'll have a right good backup striker in our hands. So I wouldn't splash the cash for a one-season wonder in King.

And in the unlikely case that Janssen doesn't improve, well we'll just have to rely on the 6th and 13th highest scorers in the league last year to carry the load when Kane is out. What a terrible position to be in.

I think you are thinking like the a person who supports a small club and is happy with that fact.

Janssen is a number 9 while King can play as a central striker, off a main striker and on the wing. All we need to do is to sell Sissoko who has been poor. If we had King last season while Kane missed 11 week so if the season I for one would not be complaining.

Josh King may not be as good as Willian and Hazard but he would increase the overall ability and strength of our squad. There was a gulf between our bench and Chelsea's in the semi finals.

We are in 4 competitions and I think the chances of Kane, Dele and Eriksen playing 90 minutes every match is slim. We have a very good starting 11 but our squad strength is lacking, and to think otherwise is niave
