The babies overboard story was exposed for what is was, a racist lie, inspired by the Australian conservative government to start a wave of xenophobia, in order to win an election. Yes babies were thrown overboard, because their ship was on fire and sinking. The government released photos that showed children in the water, but the image of the ship alight and sinking was carefully cropped. Never underestimate, the power of racism to agitate an electorate. Shows how effective this propaganda was, because you are still spreading this vicious misrepresentation of the truth. By the way, even the said conservative government has admitted to this 'regrettable mistake.' They blamed it on the navy.

The URL says it all. Actually this thread could have been lifted from the Daily Mail.
Yes there are lazy scum out there, but reading that piece of pile of effluent purporting to be a newspaper would have you believe that everyone not born in the UK is one of them.

The old argument that every race has scroungers/criminals is correct but I just believe that a large percentage in certain races are here for an easy ride.

I actually believe the opposite. I think most immigrants come here looking for a better life for them and their family. It's British scumbags who have the sense of entitlement that bleed the welfare system dry.

I have said many times how i am friends with a latvian really good friends with him and his wife and children. My main problem is with the welfare state and as other people in this thread have said most of it is directed at home grown scroungers. Yes we need to put safe guards in so that people can not claim everything 2 minutes after arriving in the country but it is the whole of the welfare state that needs shaking up.

Brown, black does not make much difference they were all nutters but that is what happens when you push some people to much. Would never be the path i would take. If i was poor i would not go down the route of the far right. Rightly or wrongly i would just become a criminal and do lots of credit card fraud etc. So right wing but not a nutter maybe a little kinky and freaky but not a nutter.

A high percentage come here as they have been told they can claim benefits. Better life well yeah of course that helps but it's the money talking as ever you'd better believe it.

I dont really get involved in these type of discussions but this really fudging sickened me. Firstly who the fudge has 11 kids? secondly who the fudge has 11 kids when you can barely afford one? and thirdly who the fudge does she think she is demanding bigger home? fudge her.
