Jihad Seeks Allowance, Another Total tinkletake Allowed to Happen

This is a true story about my Missus' sister. Lives in Basildon and is 25. She has had it very easy growing up yet claims she was bullied and this has caused her to be affected now so much so that she claims some kind of benefit for it.

Truth is she's the bully. She's a big girl and was one of those kids who pushed kids around yet claimed she was the victim when no one wanted to hang around with her!

Anyway, her husband doesn't work either. Living in a one bedroom house she decided she wanted a bigger house and when she was told she didn't qualify for one she phoned us up crying. 2 months later and she's pregnant and calls my Missus up saying 'Yay now ill get a 2/3 bedroom house'. Scum.

So to summarise. She's 25 he's 27. They don't work. She has never and he hasn't for 2/3 years and doesn't want to. They had a second baby for the sole reason of getting a bigger gaff. She has told us that despite paying minimal rent and council tax she receives £1700 per month with benefits including housing benefit, child benefit, child tax credits and WORKING TAX CREDITS!??!!

I work 40-45 hours per week and earn £1900 per month and have to pay full rent, C/T etc like everyone else. They get £1700.00 to themselves and sit on their fat arses all day long.

She even got a £200 Xmas allowance from the council after claiming she was so depressed she couldn't afford any presents. My Missus phoned her up and when she told her this she asked her what she did with SEVENTEEN HUNDRED QUID every month and she said 'I don't know!'

Needless to say they both smoke, drink and she smokes the ol' green stuff.

Yeah i agree with everything your saying i as you might be aware am a little bit right wing and i blame all of this on the left not just labour but some of the lefties in the tories in the 90's and the lefties in local government which appears to be full of them. They get to set the reccomendations as to who gets the council flats etc.

Labour have a massive price to pay for the rise in the scrounger and also the far to many civil service jobs especailly in the north. They did this because they are the drug dealer. The tories are finally trying to do the right thing and limit benefits to foreigners of course the lib dums are against it and it wont get through.

Im no massive fan of the tories, if they had a proper leader like david davis i would consider voting for them but i find even they are a little to much to the left for me on a lot of issues, tax, crime and immgration you can add education to that because if the were more grammar schools i would not be having to do 2 jobs to pay for my sons ever increasing private education.

Shame Leedspurs was so aggressive because he actually made really good points on politics, but then the lefties that run this site did not like that and i suspect that was one of the reasons behind his ban;).

I don't have any figures to hand but being old enough to have left school in the seventies I can tell you that in '79 when the Tories came to power the single Mum on benefit existed but wasn't common and was still frowned upon, by the time they left power 18 years later the career single Mum on benefit was a very common phenomenon, regardless of whatever social changes took place in the intervening years and whoever was responsible for it the Conservative party presided over it, even they were aware of it but their Back To Basics campaign was a disaster mainly because the ministers of the day were unable to practice what they so stridently preached.

Whether you remember those 18 years with fondness or rancour they definitely embraced the largest mass cultural change I can remember before or since.

I don't talk to them, don't go to family birthdays and don't invite them to our flat if I'm home. They constantly play the victim card, get a lift to ours when I'm at work from a mate who is like their lapdog (She won't take public transport) I refuse to even acknowledge them.

I also don't talk to my Missus' dad either. Also living in Basildon he doesn't work, claims every single benefit going including disability though he is more than able to work, earns cash in hand delivering Indian takeaway and has never worked in his life. Yet he has a music room (Being his main passion) which he proudly tells everyone he has been collecting since his teens and has cost him over £25k. He has guitars, signed LP's, amplifiers all crammed into one of his 4 bedrooms along with separate rooms for his 2 kids aged 3 and 7 (Bedrooms bigger than ours too btw)

When you go into his front room he has shelves all over the walls like you've never seen before. He has DVD's in alphabetical order from every series you can imagine. Friends, scrubs, South Park etc...all lined up in series order. Must be over 2000 DVD's. Disgusting.

I see what your saying Gordi but it is why i have mentioned the "lefties" not just in government but in other publuic positions, like the judges who wont allow the government of the day to deport people. Labour even tried to deport some of the nutters but were not allowed. So in that sense it is not labour/tory.

The could be a theory that it was when the children of the 1960's got into positions of power that the problems arose.

So often when you talk about left or right people just want to talk about immgration but for me that maybe a problem but the biggest problems in this country came long before immgration. If we did not have people allowed to scrounge of the state then immgration would not even be talked about. The problem with the scroungers is that the country really just can not affford to look after them anymore.

Gordi if you do not mind me saying so i consider you left wing. As i have said many times i admire people like you who know their views and what they believe in. Can you tell me what someone who is left wing would think if a government(either party) were to come out and say no child tax credits for more then 2 children, would you be okay with that?

Or if the government came out and said that people who come to this country regardless off origin or wealth can not claim anything from the country till they have been here 7 years(same as usa)?

would those sort of things upset a person of left wing values?

Because the way i see it is we are spending far to much money in this country it is not just about an ideology now it is that we are spending mroe money then we bring in.

Befriend them i love that word. Befriend them act like their friends and close family for a year or so, then book a weekend away for all of you, at the last minute say you have been called into work. If your not the manager where you work which should get you out of it because your important, say the manager is sick and the is a chance you can get his job and a pay rise. They will want you to stay because they will see more money coming their way.

Stay home that weekend and then rub the ****s for everything they are worth. It takes time and patience but trust me it is the most rewarding way to get back at scum like that trust me i know what im talking about;) Life is a race to the finish and when i see someone cheating then i always think it fine to act as judge jury and executioner. Or if you do not have the balls for it just calls up the authorities and tell them they he is doing some work cash in hand.
 
Working for William Hill I've worked in and around Haringay, Turnpike Lane and Wood Green amongst other scummy areas (On the whole) for over a decade.

A Somalian fella would come into a shop I'd started working in at around 2pm every afternoon. He'd breeze in, watch people playing on the roulette machines then approach the counter. He'd ask for a cup of coffee. No problem I thought not only because we're encouraged to but he seemed an ok fella. Anyway, this went on for a couple of weeks when a cashier that hadn't been in since I'd started was there and refused him a coffee. I called her to one side and she explained she had had grief from him before. When he approached the counter again and asked I nodded at the cashier and started making him one. I asked him if he always came in this time from work? He laughed. He then said 'I don't work as I earn more than you probably'. My back now up I questioned him and he said 'I drink til 4pm, get up at 130 come to William Hill and get a free coffee and watch people play roulette and they give me £1-£5 for helping them when they collect'

I think it was the last time he stepped foot in my shop. Scum.

We, me and the wife have started when in London going to churches for a coffee well tea for me as i do not drink coffee. Most churches with halls next to them do lovely tea and coffee and good cakes. If your ever in central London may i recommend cafe in the crypt near the strand, very good home made cakes.

Slightly off topic that i know. So anyway the country is brick and left wing people have allowed it to happen and the backlash will be ther fault. It is why in 1930's germany people were so keen to vote for the black shirts because they were disgusted at what they had seen. I do not want that here i would rather we had a strong government so we do not need an extermist one to come in.

Yes Gordi i know i am close to godwins law but sometimes needs must.

I've never really understood family allowance/child tax credits based mainly on the belief that financial planning is part of the conception process, so although I have been the reason for my parents having tax breaks and allowances and also the beneficiary of tax breaks and allowances as a parent I would rather see them phased out than stopped overnight if the decision to stop them was made. The reason I say that financial planning is part of the conception process is because it's irresponsible to bring a child into the world if you cannot support it without relying on allowances. Allowances are useful but in the longer term shouldn't be the difference between eating or starving.

Re the American system, I have no great problem with that either.

I'd add the rider that when we had an Empire we went round the world financially raping and pillaging any country we could, in return we gave Johnny Foreigner a handful of beads and a British passport, it is the descendants of many of these passport holders who had the right to enter the country in the fifties, sixties and seventies and as British passport holders that's possibly the reason they were entitled to benefits as soon as they took up residence.
 
Im glad you think like that gordi and i agree with the bit about the empire. I honestly think and i think you touched on it that we do not have the money we used to have and we have to readjust what are our expectations are. But the are still some people that do not seem to understand this.

One of the biggest pet hates i have and i have a few is how as a car driver the amount of tax i pay is huge but it does not go into roads and transport it goes into one big pot and pays for all this welfare and social stuff. People in this country need to realise we do not have the money we once did. I honestly think it is the younger generation and the die hard lefties that are the problem with this. Thankfully your not one of them.
 
I once got really slated on here, and I do mean really, for stating this. I may have let my heart rule a few comments then so I'd like to state it again and hopefully have some decent conversation on this.

I think it is starting to change roy, even reading the comments pages on the left wing papers people seem to be coming to the same conclusion. I read most of the papers online for 30 minutes an evening and it certainly seems to be changing.
 
I hope so. Like this extremist for example. fudge him back off to his country or the USA where he will be dealt with properly unlike over here.

It's the 2-5% that are the problem. The way in which corporations find ways around paying their way. brick rolls downhill in that sense.
It's the fault of a culture which has mis-placed it's values, which encourages 'fame' and 'bling' over application and work.
It's the fault of every uneducated chav and chavette for not being able to find a route out from their own predictable, mind-numbing slow deaths, for not challenging themselves to expect more from themselves, for allowing their scrounging and thieving to feel like a victory when it is nothing more than a form of big-govenment population control.
It's the fault of a society which undervalues the importance of educating ALL it's people, of instilling basic manners and decency and which rewards short-cut greed over living a balanced life.
It's the fault of governments who misappropriate tax revenues towards areas which don't need it and who bail out some of those huge corporations which would otherwise (by a free-market system) have found themselves unable to work.
It's the fault of an era where money is the top of most people's pyramid, where 'getting everything I can' is seen as an endgame and where the culture of blame and inability to accept responsibility is simply accepted.

These are dark times. And everyone is involved. Yes, the headline-grabbing money-grubbing freeloaders are a massive issue which has to be dealt with, but it is the chasm developing between rich and poor, between decent and indecent and between selfish and societally-minded people which are the huger worries for me. Government is uninterested in addressing long-term problem because their presence is short-term...it's ridiculous mate...
