January transfer rumour thread

Tom Williams@tomwfootball: Canal+ reporting that PSG have agreed terms w Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao, but not with his club, Internacional.

Should point out that Canal+ were suggesting Internacional's refusal to sell means PSG may have given up on Damiao already.

Tom Williams is a European football reporter for Agence France-Presse (AFP), specialising in French football.

Top, top lad. Will definitely be missed, but hopefully he's got greener pastures ahead.

Best right back we've had in the last 15 years or so.

Daily Mail say we've offered ?ú8m to make the Ade deal permanent. Sun has a story about a training ground bustup involving Pav and Kevin Bond.

If we're looking to tie Adebayor up this window, maybe we are after another Loan from city. Given that you can only loan 1 player from another team in the same division.

Signing Marin would be an excellent bit of business. He's young, shown he can perform at the top top level and can play on either wing and also in Rafa's role. Plus we'd be signing him at a time when he's had a bip in form so can hopefully get him on the cheap

Can believe we might let Charlie go through - could perhaps undertand it in the summer but from having about 57 right backs a year or two ago, we'd be down to 1 proper RB

Bond: Shoot pav! Shoot!

Pav: Do where me shoot?!

Bond: in the fudging goal pav!

Pav: Waitings one moment please, meester Henry Redcapps tells me to 'run araaand a bit' then you meester bond be telling me to 'shoot pav, shoot'?! Making up your minds please!!

We might agree with city i imagine they want him off their books, but i cant see him just dropping those wages 150 grand a week is it?

Sorry, my mistake, ?ú225k.

Redknapp said:
"The other week, one of the lads told him that he had not paid his ?ú50 fine for being the worst player in training on a Friday morning. One of the lads said to him: 'Bloody hell, Ade, you are on 200 grand a week and you can't afford to pay a ?ú50 fine!' He replied: 'Don't insult me, it's 225!'." Redknapp added: "He certainly isn't getting that here."

Well if you keep a player but won't play him it can cause problems

True but his fitness has been a major problem since the Flamini (clam) tackle, he was playing so well before then and it seemed like he'd been rushed back to fitness every time since then. Considering how much he compliments Lennon's game as well as being pretty tidy in DM from his City days and being ok at centre back I can't believe we'd let such a useful player leave, especially on loan...

If we do bring Smith back then I guess the positive side is we might see a bit more of a promising acadamy player, looks fudging old from his picture on the 20 quid notes though...

yeah i meant we are paying him 70 so that leaves a short fall of 150 grand not sure where we would get that 150 or if he is prepared to drop it, would you?

The most common Ade rumour recently has been a low buying price (?ú8m, as opposed to ?ú15m reported in the summer) with the balance going to Adebayor as a sweetner.

The idea being his wage demands wouldnt be so outrageous with all that cash as a golden handshake
