ITK Thread

Why should fans know the finest details? Accountability is an internal matter as well. We don't get a say on hiring or firing of any of the staff so we don't need to know the details.

The fans are an external part of the business - nothing more, no matter how much we think we are integral.

Even though you may shop at Tesco, do you get to know (or think you deserve to know) the background and reasons for internal board room decisions at that company???

What would that satisfy other than your curiosity?
 
We know roughly how the committee works from the THST meeting minutes, any more details than that aren't really important for us to know and wouldn't do anything than alienate people, reduce morale and create a bad culture.

Anyone at a senior level within the club will know who ultimately pushed for that player and I'm sure it's all taken into consideration if some people continually suggest players who don't work out etc.

An indication of the direction of the Club. The logic and rationale of the decisions made?
To be fair, I wouldn't care much if the prooffof the pudding, I.e. Trophies over 15 years or CL qualification, was routine. That would, indeed, speak volumes?

The direction of the club is clear. We have been on a broad upwards trajectory under ENIC with a couple of dips along the way. Admittedly, the progress has not been as rapid as some would wish but it is hard to see how they could be satisfied without the club being run at a loss which was covered by the owners.

Levy knows. Levy handles the accountability stuff, not the fans...

I get that it's frustrating not to know, but Levy playing his cards close to his chest is probably the best thing for the club I think.

Why should the fans know? What does it help? How does it make us better?

So much for premiership experience like what poch wanted !! Money wins again or is that levy haha !!! As long as quality and not rubbish of 2013 and 2014 then I can live with it

I think that the most boring thing is (and I know that we have this discussion every window) is people only posting in this thread to complain about ITK. If you don't like it, fine. If you want to moan about it every day, why not start another thread and keep it to that.

Being based overseas doesn't necessarily mean they won't have PL experience, but where is the quality players in the current PL players? Even Schneiderlin will cost a fortune. As would Fonte, who's probably the best CB not at a Sky 4 club.

Look at the cream of the crop from last season: Lallana, Shaw, Welbeck etc.

We only need 2 or 3 top signings, the rest will be for the future.

I agree .. I just want someone at Spurs with that ability to put a proper team together and be able to spot a player ...a proper one .. Out of the signings over past two to three years I would argue that eriksen only one of real pedigree .. Chadli is only ok and in the main doesn't make the difference in games bar maybe once ever against Chelsea ... Rest came with reps but have been totally shocking and need to be sold IMO .. A I heard since season over is Spurs targeting players with prem experience but now it seems it's overseas players again ( for what it's worth I actually believe in this jetset lad despite what others say ) most of what he says actually happens so he is def in da loop somehow . I just think back bone of side needs massive improvement .. Sign snderlein , benteke and get a top pacy dominant center half from Europe somewhere .. That's for arguments sake 60 million .. Sell Paulinho soldado fazio and several others who we all know and that's serious quality business done for summer .. It's not hard !! All this farting about .. It's always on the cheap with Spurs and levy .. I understand new stadium etc but And further player sales can then go on potential pacy wingers who can actually score goals and cross a ball !! Like I say every summer with Spurs it's all about players leaving first before they decide to do anything ..

Ronaldo, Bale, Modric all overseas based and with PL experience, would you say no to any of them?
