ITK Thread

Paulinho is a tragedy because the guy is quality. He was coming off over a year of solid football, and he came into a situation which was (at best) turbulent. Personally, I would persevere, but I understand that his time has probably arrived. He will prove a fine player for someone...
I can't see what you see in him Steff. We haven't really seen any quality at all from him, quite the opposite in fact.

For me his goose was cooked months before the world cup . He was petrified of getting injured and missing it, and so spent a few months running away from the ball and anything that remotely looked like a tackle. I can't abide a coward and that is what Paulie is. Basically he is done for me and I just hope we manage to get back even some of what we spent on him. Anything really.

Fair enough matey, wouldn't argue that viewpoint.

Plus one. Was beginning to see green shoots of recovery aswell. I suppose it depends on who comes in, but I'd keep him...

The guy is weak mentally. Used to look at his face during games and he looked like a rabbit caught in a spot light. He looked like he was about to break out in tears on occasions.

agree, would like us to keep Paulinho. He is the only one of our midfielders who looks to always get in the box and pounce on opportunity's, abit like Lampard. I think he could easily get us 10 goals + if he had a decent season and played regularly. Didnt he get 8 the season before last when he wasnt even on top form?

jasper responding to questions about us possibly signing tripper, ayew and vietto : Possible on both, but then you knew that as in press also.

Trix on Ayew and Konoplyanka: Not targets at all so hardly a surprise we are making no ground.

(Ayew) Has been looked at, but there are others higher in the pecking order. Kono = no no

Id like to see him given a year in our squad and hope he's at least given a good run in preseason so Pochettino can look at him up close before we contemplate selling.

He's a year younger than Mason so it's not too late for him

I think if Carroll were to move then it would probably be to a team in the same division as us and also for a fee higher than £5 million.

Swansea didn't seem to want to take up any option on him.

The last rumours were that Villa would come in for him and Ade to replace Grealish and Benteke

I don't think Swansea had an option on him. It wouldn't surprise me to see them come in for him this summer though if our club send out the feelers that he is available.

Does this jasper character ever commit to saying anything specific ?? ... Possible on both Vietto n tripper .. Maybe on ayew ,, hedging his bets lol ... How is this itk ?

Has he ever committed or got anything right .. Just curious as how this is itk ... I mean it's possible we could sign snderlein yet does that make me an itk ??? ...

I appreciate some itks as they actually have got something right in past but just borderline funny when u see stuff like that .. Obviously hasn't a clue with such random covering his arse statements

they didn't have an option on him - it was a development loan rather than a loan with a view to a permanent transfer

JJetset:

On Ayew: no chance we will sign him

On Ings and Schneiderlin being over: not completely but currently highly unlikely

Hertyid on Bentaleb: No chance in hell he is leaving

'We're also speaking to Abdenour. I don't know if he is any good.'
