Interim manager thread 2.0

i thought the Guardian article was pretty poor. Some good points but no detail to back up the overview. No mention of injuries, no mention of causes of decline, such as Levy working without a Director of Football and trying to do it all himself...no mention of the shocking refereeing decisions we've had etc. If I was marking it as an essay, I'd say "Promising but must try harder!"

All fair comment indeed.

It's a really good overview. On the pod we found ourselved looking back at some of the awful reffing decisions Tudor endured, particularly the disallowed Muani equaliser against the Goons. If that goal stands (as it should've) he might still be around and we might be well clear of trouble. That poor bloke got (as Milo called it) 'The Full Tottenham' in terms of experiences!
Those first 20 minutes against Atletico Madrid.....he'll have been watching it, the players falling all over the place, the keeper, replacing the keeper, the replacement keeper chucking another in.....and probably just pondering the meaning of life....wouldn't be surprised if the guy ends up as a monk up a mountain in northern Thailand....

There may be concerns about RDZ but, having just seen Poch on Sky Sports News, I will be furious if we accept him back to the club before he sorts out his hair. He looks like an extra from Miami Vice. It’s an utter disgrace.
He looked broken to me as well, as if the news about RDZ has hit him hard.

It's such a bloody easy win to unite the fan base.

I have my doubts over him coming back, but he's what the club needs, someone that can help calm things down and get the majority of fans back onside.

He did get that shocking ref decision vs Arsenal but, bloody hell, he was mostly the master of his own demise. In a league as tight as the PL you cannot ship as many goals as we did under Tudor and hope to put enough points on the board. PL teams these days are all about not losing first. A lesson we have not yet learnt and why I’m still not confident we will survive relegation.

It's somewhat amusing two of the clubs that have a "way" that the fans demand (the West Ham way and the Spurs way
) are one of the two that look likely to go down

The PL (like you say) is about solid defences and not making mistakes.

we are miles from that.

Oh absolutely hahaha...it was a horror film that kept on giving!

Well West Ham are certainly playing the 'Nuno way' these days. Defensive, well organised, hard to beat, early ball forward.

How have you got to this lol. You want to see the headlines about Sterling compared to Gazza and compare their sins? It's easily done but it will make you look a fool.

Or we can look at this forum and Thomas Partey compared to Gazza.

Shall we? And whet you gonna gain from that?
Absolutely, let's.....
....but you'll need to substantiate your claim it's about race, not another characteristic.

I've shown the reasoning for my position that I think it's less likely to be race and more likely to be "quirkiness" (that term doesn't seem the most appropriate, but I can't think of a better one at the moment).
