Too many overhyped primadonnas all looking to score rather than pass to a team mate.
I think we had 4 decent crosses in to the box and scored from 2 of them.
The rest of the time the wingers tried to cut inside and set themselves up for a shot rather than playing for the team and crossing.

The whole match was a non event with 3 Villa players in squad they couldn't sell out and most of the players opted for the safe option when they had the ball. It's not easy playing against such tactics but the pace England played at was terrible and we never appeared to discomfort their defence. I've not been impressed by Tuchel.

Southgate was never the problem. It's funny how we looked as bad if not worse with previous 'world class' managers, just as we do now. But Southgate took us to more finals and semis than any of them and with a squad with less ability than some previous ones.

The problem is not the managers....
