Sterling is the kid in the school team who's just quick, but has no idea how to actually play
100%
I’ve always thought his control technique is so weird..stops it under his body rather than in front to play quickly with it
People talked bit his goals in the euros but they were first time shots and headers which suits his style (don’t think just do)
He isn’t a poor player but he isn’t a smart one

Theo walcott without the injuries

Finished bottom of our nations league group without a win. Have 2 top 10 teams in our group and couldn’t beat them, surprise surprise.

-----------------Pickford
James Stones Dier Tomori Chillwell
-----------Bellingham Rice
----------Foden Kane Saka

My starting eleven for the WC

Looks like the chance for Tomori has gone. This round of games was the time to give him a game. Walker is a favourite and is suited to the RCB role. The left is the problem and I'll pick Stones over Maguire (although will Southgate finally get the message). I also expect Shaw over Chillwell. Saka should play on the right as Foden is more flexible.

I agree, that would be my team. Though it does highlight why we will struggle. We just don't have any World class players in the back 6.

Pickford is the best of an average bunch of keepers. Pope can't use his feet and Ramsdale is a clown.

Walker, Dier, Stones, Coady, Mings and even Maguire are good central defenders, but not great.

Rice and Bellingham could be a great pairing and there are enough options up top to make things happen but I just fear we will always be vulnerable at the back.

Maguire will not be going to the WC unless he can get back into Uniteds starting eleven as a first choice.

He will play a couple of games in October for United and will surely stink the place up.

So he will not be going in my opinion.

He is out of his depth and has that leg that sort of turns in which seems to be getting worse.
