Hugo Lloris

Maybe Poch had installed the goalkeeping equivalent of a dogs electric shock collar.

“One more bricky foul mess on our carpet Hugo, and....‘Zap!!!’”

Horrific injury and i hope Hugo gets well ASAP.

You would worry about if he has played his last game at the level befitting a captain of France or a top 6 club.

Regardless, that should be the last game he plays as our captain. When your captain makes so many unenforced brainfarts in key games, is it any wonder we struggle to lose the 'nearly' and 'bottler' tags?

What's the expected recovery time for a dislocated elbow? That must be a lot worse than a dislocated shoulder? 3-4 months?

I've seen cage fighters and boxers and Aussie Rules players etc. get a dislocated kneecap and just punch it back into place, or dislocate their shoulder and get it pulled back into place... he'll be fine for next week no problem, he's SOOO tough our captain ;D

FWIW I see that Puyol was back in training 6 weeks after dislocating his elbow.

Although I guess that a goalie needs to use his arms more, so Lloris’ recovery might take longer.

True that I guess it's more comparable to an acl injury.... Still such a freak accident that can only happen to spurs.
Of course . Elbows are very difficult to repair. The range of motions etc it bends and allows lower arm to rotate. I did have good treatment just destroyed the ligaments so badly lost some range of movement unfortunately.

That’s a howler today injury aside.

A broken arm would be better than a dislocation.
Quite possibly, although note that a "broken" arm can mean either a hairline fracture or a big fracture or a clean snap or a complete smashing up like dropping a car on your forearm.
E.g. someone said Maradona recovered from a broken leg super fast, but was it a complete snap of tib and fib, or just a fracture?
Note when I snapped my tib and fib they repaired my tibia (shin bone) properly with a titanium rod and 4 screws, but just left the fibula snapped and in a mess as you don't really need it... it is just a weedy bone at the back of the leg. I assume a footballer does need it tho.

I would like to understand what is going through his mind. At times watching the game it appeared as if our players had other thoughts on their mind.

Sad to see him hurt like that but good news that it MAY not mean the end for him. Shocking mistake for the goal though and he seems to be making more then he used too. I said earlier in the thread it may be wise to get scouts looking at a future signing.

I have always thought Brandon Austin has a very good chance, at the moment i think we have bigger issues than Lloris (which says more about our issues than Lloris)
