Hugo Lloris has undergone further assessment this morning after sustaining a dislocated elbow in our match against Brighton on Saturday.

The findings have shown that although surgery will not be required, our Club Captain has suffered ligament damage and is not expected to return to training before the end of 2019.

Hugo is currently in a brace and will now undergo a period of rest and rehabilitation under the supervision of our medical staff at Hotspur Way.

Serious question: in light of Hugo, the drink-drive incident and his howlers over the years, do people think he might actually have a more chronic drinking problem than we realise and that he is almost a 'high functioning' addict who performs despite the issue (and that leads to extreme high performances followed by big, sharp drops)?

Just wondering if anyone with experience with addicts who are also very VERY talented would think it possible...

I meant he is under contract. I thought we could only sign a free agent as emergency. It's the registration restriction that is lifted. I may have that completely wrong.

Steve Harper was who we had lined up for an emergency loan when Lloris fractured his hand in 2015, and Harper was a free agent at that point

Huh? What do you mean here?

I mean you'd expect injures and need credible back up. it's a big call by poch to trust him as our #2 keeper, when usually it's someone with more experience

I think I get what you mean, Gazza for me is the quintessential #2, but I would not want him as the #1, now that he has got a run in the team for a minimum three months ahead I’m not entirely convinced that we won’t be seeing him getting exposed.
