It was too high for Moura, but about shoulder height for Skipp who was the one to blame for missing the header.

however Reggie caused it all for giving the ball away.
 
I really hope Nuno benches Kane for the Utd game and then brings him on as a sub if needed.

One seems to feel there is something wrong in the dynamics between players. Too many inconsistencies in the messages coming out of the club. C'est la vie.

And the defeat came about because Moura couldn’t play a simple pass for Sonny to score, or Kane couldn’t execute a simple pass for Sonny to score, or Kane couldn’t plant a free-header from 8 yards into the net, let’s be honest, this goal is down to one thing; Kane’s inability to mark Antonio properly/make sure Antonio does not get a step on him. It was too easy.
 
Why do we keep playing Harry when he doesn't want to play.
Just bench him and let scarlet be the only one up front. Can't be worse than now.

Did you watch the Vitesse match? Scarlett isn't ready yet, he has no physical presence. We'd need to change or attacking setup to match where he is at now. Through balls into space for him to run on to. Which is easier said than done considering we are not overflowing with creative AMs.

Truth is that we really roostered up recruitment for the striker position. There is no reason why Harry Kane should be the only specialist striker in the senior team. This for me goes back to the insinuation that Kane's position is invincible in the first 11. I look at other teams - Liverpool have Firmino and Divock Origi. Chelsea have Werner and Lukaku etc. We are paying for not getting a striker to push Kane.

I think your point is valid but usually Jota rotates with Firminio (origi is hardly ever seen,) and Chelsea only bought Lukaku as Werner is brick (which still is the case). So we could say we have Son and Kane, and a neutral would say we look good with that?
 
Is there really no one at Spurs youth that we can put upfront to hold the ball up? One would think they are fairly common.

That would be wrong because Son is the starting WF. He is not a backup striker, we use him there because we have no other option and warranty the LW at the same time. Your example is like Liverpool claiming Mane, Salah, Jota, Firminho and Origi as their starting striker options.

Either way we are still light on backup or competition options.

My thoughts as well, Scarlett is NOT ready to play at first team level just yet and we may be harming his progress by doing so. 17 years of age for fudges sake.

I acknowledged his point was valid.

I know what Son is. He is a WF that we use as a backup option (not a a starter) to Kane . To say he is not is stupid, as we have and he has been successful at it.
That's exactly what Jota is to Firminio.

I was contesting whether their options (the ones stated) were any rosier.

The difference is Jota is not their starting option in another position, Son is ours. If we are forced to play him as a striker we weaken LWF where we do not not have an adequate replacement.

It's a nonsense comparison. They have backup options, we don't wisely don't. [emoji58]

Can Scarlett do worse than Kane right now? We keep hoping the real Lane would turn up but for how long more? At least Scarlett will be learning... And so will we
