But he has played a number of he's for us and played very well. Due to his long injury period it's a bit like the revision of Ndombele last season. Lo Celso has already played well and shown his worth and suitability.

Now whether the consistent injuries make him ultimately a flop is another question but we know his quality, we know his minimum performance level and those things were more than good enough.
 
With the work they put in, Bergjwin, Lamela, Lucas, Lo celso and Hojberg are Mourinho type players. Just a shame the attacking 3 i mentioned do not contribute regularly with goals and assists.

Bergiwjn is only 23 though. You'd hope to see him add more end product over the next 12-24 months. I'd like to see us replace Lucas and Lamela soon rather than get to a couple years' time and find we have 5 attackers all 30 and over

All fair points. However, he’s now under his third manger at the club and hasn’t shown much for any of them.
 
I think Lo Celso has shown a lot at times, I'd persevere with him, he works hard and he's physical, that's worth a lot, I'd be binning out the players that don't first.
 
Slightly worried that Lo Celso is neither an 8 or a 10. He might work out OK as one of the wider midfielders in a 4-3-3 or as one of the 2 in a midfield diamond.

I would’ve taken him off for Ndombele yesterday as our extremely limited possession and territory meant that we needed an individual moment of magic in order to have a chance of scoring.

Thought he was by far our best player in the month or two before the lockdown last year but he was mediocre before and after. Still think there is a player in there and he’s worth persevering with.

You could level that every player in our "team". How many managers has Harry Kane had? Or Hugo?
How many games did he play under poch?
After Hugo he was probably our best player yesterday,
We have one bad player, Sissoko.
A few average, winks, Sanchez.
Quite a lot of decent.
A couple of good.
One world class, and two with potential to be on their day.
What we don't have is a team.
You know what spoke volumes to me yesterday, Son being consoled by two opposition players.
We are a shambles, absolute shambles.

Is disagree with that.... Lo Celso did nothing at all in the first half and not much more in the second half. Toby was better than him, Dier was better than him, Moura was better than him, Aurier was better than him. Lo Celso's performance was probably on par with Winks (who we all know isn't good enough to start for Spurs) and Hojbjerg (who I think is burnt out after a very long season).

I don't really see Lo Celso as a starting player for a top 6 level team and definitely not a top 4 level team (let alone a title challenging team). As Lamela's squad place replacement he's likely to be an upgrade however as he surely can't be injured as often as Lamela is?

We need to act like a big club this summer and go out and get a physical, yet skillful, player who can dominate the midfield. Soumare has 1 year left on his contract at Lille and would be the perfect partner for Hojbjerg and allow us to play a truly creative player in Ndombele further forward where his skill and creativity can shine.
