I think if we want to stand a chance of keeping him happy, we need to get him back amongst the lads as soon as possible. Like Steff said, his isolation from the banter and team spirit he so obviously enjoys is making it much easier for Barnett, Zidane and Perez to get into his head. Put him back into the regular squad, and maybe we’ll see a smile return to his face, which would utterly horrify the likes of Perez and Mr.Fifteen Percent.

I do - but if I make a decision generally I stick with it (if I know full well that the opportunity wilcome round again). Ive been in a similiar position where I worked for a smaller company, I was offered a position at a larger company but I knew it was just a year or two too soon. I got the opportunity again and moved. My head wasnt turned and yes we are all different etc.

I didnt say he would fail because his head has been turned - I dont think he is strong mentally YET and I used the whole head turning as 'evidence' to support that conclusion.

Anyways we will see - I think Levy may put in a first refusal option for us at a specific price if he doesnt succeed.

We havent even seen the upset face of Bale yet.

Where is he actually? Are the players not training?

Ronaldo seems to have got on ok with Real after having his head turned by them whilst at United ;)


anyway - we don't know what Real have been telling Bale behind closed doors but id wager a months wages they have been in almost daily contact with his camp as the window has trudged on.

no offence mate but being an accountant (?) and putting off a top job for a year or two is slightly different to having the worlds most famous football club begging to sign you as a player

I think Ronaldo had that arrogance you sometimes need. I dont think Bale does. Im coming across like I know Bale inside out (maybe I do maybe I dont ;))

That is a great point. But it does not seem to be a concern to AVB. Maybe it should be (or maybe it is!)

At least it would speed up whatever outcome will arise. Worst case scenario is this drags on for the rest of the transfer window affecting our business and goes balls up on transfer deadline day

AVBshould understand the precariousness of the situation. Levy didnt decide to sell Bale, Bale decided to act a bit tacotish through Barnett (unfounded but based on everything here etc) and RM decided to act like ****s (they were ****s before but now they are like the **** of a Jo Brand).

AVB will be happy with the 50m warchest.

Cant sell him to Man Utd or any other premeirship team ..

If it has to happen, then 100 million plus to Madrid is fine with me ... We then get them in the 2014-15 CL and give Bale, Modders, Zidane , Perez a damn good hiding over two legs[-o<

A bit. He has said he was promised Bale next season and that must have influenced his decision to stay at Spurs.

But Spurs is a great gig for him right now whether Gareth goes or stays. I do not expect him to stick around like Fergie but even without Gareth we have the players for him to put a trophy on his CV.

not really. AVB should have always known where he stands in the order of things

plus it would show whether or not AVB is actually any good. making us win without the one man team .....goal to points won so to speak
