yes I know but the soldado thread got a bit twitchy the other night.....as you well know......personally I think your banter with mumorn is comedy gold but im sure if he posted for you lay off him a bit, you would have respected that...........then again he does make some bold statements.....and you are allowed to take him to town on them as is your right.......
would still hate for pc to infect this forum..........most people know where to draw the line I would hope..........

It is really tiring, boring and annoying to read all the Bale rumours now.
My 9-year old nephew who have been a lucky charm for Spurs since the 2008 CC Final is threatening to stop supporting Spurs if Bale leaves](*,). He has just started to support Spurs and is a big Bale fan. Bale will annoy and disappoint many of his fans if he force us to sell him.
Hope Bale stays but if he goes, then he will be up there with the likes of Sheringham, Campbell, Berbatov and Keane as the ungratefull players who betrayed Spurs. Will start to hate him if he joins Real Madrid by forcing us to sell him.

Any agent that allows their player to sign any contract where any of the agreements are unwritten should be fired and investigated for accepting bribes, I highly doubt Bale would sign anything like that after all the hubbub surrounding the alleged Modric agreement.

I think Levy will hold firm to what he said in May. But the player has been so heavily bombarded both publicly and not by Madrid, not to mention his agent, that I believe the player's head has been turned to the point it will never quite return. Let us hope that he is the same Bale, but I don't think so...ultimately Madeid have succeeded in destabilizing the player mentally...I think it now becomes about Levy and AVB holding their line. In Levy I have to trust...

I don't believe them for a second. Even so, there is no way Bale would sign a new contract at the same time as watching Modric fight dearly to leave the club and thinking 'lol, at least he's letting me leave next year!'. You'd have to be the stupidest person in the world to believe that. I don't think the agreement, if one was spoken about, was anything like Levy saying he would sell.
Also stupid though is top clubs using this 'you have to join us now or it's never' line. It gives stupid players the excuse to claim that their current club is denying them ther dream move, despite it being so flipping stupid. Is Bale seriously supposed to believe that Real Madrid, who value him so highly that they will bid 100 million pounds or there abouts, suddenly wouldn't come back next summer? For goodness sake.
There is simply no benefit to us selling Bale this summer. Next summer, maybe. Then his sale can finance the next lot of recruits needed to sustain our improvement at the top of the table. Right now though, we need him and selling him guarantees the entire season will be a waste, despite a nice profit figure. I seriously hope we turn down literally any offer they throw at us. Otherwise it will actually be quite hard to be as motivated to watch us through the season, and that will be incredibly sad. We'd go from being the team potentially able to do something big, to a team accepting their place as second tier.
I think Real are amping up their machine to try and get Bale now, and if they can't, they can get their pathetic big money vanity purchase with Suarez. Would be hilarious if Arsenal miss out on all the big players moving around, and therefore the summer could still be a real good one for Spurs.

Anyone signing a contract with an undocumented "gentlemans agreement" to the side is a goose. In fact, it is so stupid, I refuse to believe, in the case of Bale or even Modric, one was ever in place. It's easy enough to get these included in your contract.
