Odobert like Moore just looks 50% less effective on the rightI like Odobert on the left, hes never really looked convincing to me when on the right for us or France U21. Interesting that Tel came in to play through the middle. Looking at today medium to long term we need a striker because Richy is still never going to cut it.
As many players in their half as they hadI've only seen the goal clip posted above, but the pressing in it from Richy, Bergvall and then Sarr was really encouraging
Another striker can make all the difference thereWas pleased to see us defend well. I had no doubts Frank would improve us there.
We need a striker. Sell Richy.
I see a lot of low scoring games for us next season.1-0 wins 0-0 draws. Narrow defeats.
PSG game will be intriguing as to keeping that attack quiet for 90 odd minutes.
Some good quality additions would be very welcome.
Let’s hope we get one in.Another striker can make all the difference there
Kolo Muani please
YeahLet’s hope we get one in.
I remember Højbjerg showing him where the technical area is, and shoving him back into it. That was fantastic!Didn't one do that?
*best team in EuropeNo way this squad with proper coaching finish anywhere near 17th this coming season even if we don't make another signing. Impressive first half , more than a match for supposedly the 2nd best PL team , who haven't won a trophy for years.![]()
I'm not anti that idea at all. He's arguably better than Solanke so would nearly push Solanke into the competition/sub role that ideally suits him.Another striker can make all the difference there
Kolo Muani please
Found a clipI remember Højbjerg showing him where the technical area is, and shoving him back into it. That was fantastic!
Four times, actually. Don't forget about the CL semifinal.Just home after a very nice lunch in Brasserie Blanc for my partner's birthday. A bottle of Picpoul Rose went down a treat....to find that we've beaten the scummy phalanx. Perfect....just have to do that twice more this season....
In Frank we trust![]()
Beat me to it!Twice? Four incl CL![]()
"...Arteta had just edged maybe to the very white line of his technical area..."Found a clip
Had to take my son and his pal to trampoline land, so didn't get to see the game. How was it? Were we any good? Any obvious Frank tactics on show? I've only seen Sarr from the halfway line humiliating David Sea .. Raya. Nice.
THere was definitely some improvements going forward, but defensively we are looking a lot better.
I'm sure it's something we will be working on.
This is the training video I've referenced about the defending drills. This one is not so much about structure BUT more that when that structure is broken (typically by your opponents) it's all hands to the pump and you die trying to save the team (and a goal). To see fellow teammates act in this way does wonders for team moral and is contagious. It's 'action stations' mindset NOT a game of statues.Take that, Mysteron Agent, Mikel Arteta. Thunderbirds are go!
Lovely to see the defence functioning as a unit again, instead of the headless chicken act we've had for the past two seasons of playground football.
