Friendly match: Tottenham v Arsenal (Hong Kong) 12.30/7.30pm BST/HKT

I like Odobert on the left, hes never really looked convincing to me when on the right for us or France U21. Interesting that Tel came in to play through the middle. Looking at today medium to long term we need a striker because Richy is still never going to cut it.
Odobert like Moore just looks 50% less effective on the right
It’s not their position and that’s fine

Was pleased to see us defend well. I had no doubts Frank would improve us there.

We need a striker. Sell Richy.

I see a lot of low scoring games for us next season.1-0 wins 0-0 draws. Narrow defeats.

PSG game will be intriguing as to keeping that attack quiet for 90 odd minutes.

Some good quality additions would be very welcome.
Another striker can make all the difference there
Kolo Muani please

Had to take my son and his pal to trampoline land, so didn't get to see the game. How was it? Were we any good? Any obvious Frank tactics on show? I've only seen Sarr from the halfway line humiliating David Sea .. Raya. Nice.

Just home after a very nice lunch in Brasserie Blanc for my partner's birthday. A bottle of Picpoul Rose went down a treat....to find that we've beaten the scummy phalanx. Perfect....just have to do that twice more this season....
In Frank we trust :)
Four times, actually. Don't forget about the CL semifinal.

Take that, Mysteron Agent, Mikel Arteta. Thunderbirds are go!

Lovely to see the defence functioning as a unit again, instead of the headless chicken act we've had for the past two seasons of playground football.

Pre season matches are more about getting fitness levels up and trying out new players and systems. There were good signs in todays games and you can see Frank has been able to get ideas and systems into the players. Early days of course but there were some good signs there. And its always GREAT to beat the ARSE.

THere was definitely some improvements going forward, but defensively we are looking a lot better.

I'm sure it's something we will be working on.

This is the training video I've referenced about the defending drills. This one is not so much about structure BUT more that when that structure is broken (typically by your opponents) it's all hands to the pump and you die trying to save the team (and a goal). To see fellow teammates act in this way does wonders for team moral and is contagious. It's 'action stations' mindset NOT a game of statues.
