I didn't say the Israelis were ever innocent. I just said it's a shame that Israel had to enforce these measures in the first place. I completely understand that the vast majority of Palestinians aren't terrorists, and it's for that reason these innocent people are the ones who should absolutely despise those who are terrorists. If it weren't for the terrorists there would be no wall. If it weren't for the terrorists there would be no checkpoints. And if it weren't for the terrorists there would be far less anti-Palestinian sentiment in Israel. The terrorists are Palestine's worst enemy

I disagree with the building of the wall, as it is inside the West Bank; if it was just on the Green Line I'd have no problem, as Israel can do what they like in their land.

The two peoples can only live in peace once the terrorism stops, it's as simple as. Then perhaps the Arabs would start feeling less persecuted and would start getting their own way.

IMO There will be no solution until people recognise that neither side is 'to blame', and that the vicious circle of violence and all of its associated fears and hatreds has been going on for so long that it's futile to try and argue with which side it started. Because it actually started with the Jewish people being expelled from their homeland thousands of years ago, then spending thousands of years without a land of their own, and suffering from persecution that culminated in the Holocaust. Can you blame Jews for wanting their own homeland after that, and for putting their own self-interest above that of the Palestinians at the time? And can you blame the Palestinians for resenting being forced out of their own homeland?

COYS, the terrorists will argue that violence is their only option based on the aggressiveness of Israel, and Israel will argue that their aggressiveness is necessary in order to combat terrorism. It's a vicious circle which is difficult to break because of the fear, hatred and distrust between both sides.

A LibDem Peer who was sacked as their health spokesman for anti-Israeli comments in 2010, has struck again. Video has emerged online of Jenny Tonge telling a meeting at Middlesex University last week:


“Beware Israel. Israel is not going to be there forever

It will not go on forever, it will not go on forever. Israel will lose it’s support will lose its support and then they will reap what they have sown.”


She also remained silent and did not protest when a fellow panellist, Ken O’Keefe, compared Jews to Nazis.

Given Tonge has previous in this area, that includes accusing an IDF aid team of harvesting organs and spinning for Palestinian suicide bombers, Guido had to check whether Tonge still actually had the LibDem whip. She has, but is Nick Clegg really prepared to let her spew this sort of bile while serving under his party banner?
