People were warned after the decent first 6-8 weeks or so of the season that the underlying stats were bad. From the start there was no real system or creative patterns, it's been poor most of the season.

Never thought he was the 'one' for us but wanted him to work because our managerial record is pretty poor. Worrying thing is he's still talking as though it would be a bad idea to sack him, I really hope the board disagree. I can't see how the board can get together and still believe in him - it's a precarious position we are in, but it's not too late if we act now.....

Yeah said it at the time but I always felt our away form would regress long before our home form improved based on the performances and underlying numbers. Never expected it to get this bad though.

From memory you called it pretty early: Frank has no experience in a situation like this. Everything was rosy at Brentford. Even when he finished 16th, it was still a good job.

I still believe he's a good coach -- you don't get to the Premier League if you're not -- but there's no much more to a club like Spurs. Being a flexible tactician ain't going to cut it. It was so obvious and though I didn't expect it to go this badly, I'm not surprised he won't see the season out.

I knew we have been on a downward trajectory for some time but when you lay it out like that looks even worse....

Agreed. Said exactly the same, this isn't a detriment to him as a coach - just don't think he was ever the right fit. Hes carried himself well with the brick that has been thrown at him....

At least we’re consistent…

Final 26 games of 2024/25:

Won 5 Drawn 4 Lost 17 For 33 Against 53 Ppg = 0.73

Last 9 games of 2024/25:

Won 1 Drawn 1 Lost 7 For 9 Against 22 Ppg = 0.44

Opening 9 games we outperformed our xG by 5.8 goals, our xG against by 3.7.

Opening 9 games we played all three teams currently in the bottom three, as well as Leeds, Brighton from the bottom third, Everton and Bournemouth in the current middle third. Only City and Villa from the top third of the table.

We've gotten worse, but that was already quite a bit worse than results that would equate to 72 points over a season would lead one to think.

I’ve no clue who the interim would be. I’d caution against going for an ex player just because or based on what Carrick has done. We’re in a relegation scrap and we are in disarray. This isn’t a job for a Robbie Keane or a Jan Vertonghen (both of whom I’ve seen mentioned). It needs someone with experience and who commands respect. Look what happened Shearer when he tried to save Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

I’ve no clue who fits the bill but it’d be gross negligence verging on self sabotage if Frank is not fired today.

I’m not sure Mason is the man this time. Are this lot of players going to be lifted by, or listen to, the man sacked by Championship West Brom?
Agreed. Mason has been fine in his two spells. Picked up some decent results. But we’re in a relegation fight. This needs experience. The situation is too big for Mason, the same way the job is too big for Frank.
