Formula One on Sky

I thought I read that Red Bull would probably be at a disadvantage from next year with the new engine rules or something. I can't imagine Verstappen being the sort of person to hang around the middle of the pack like Hamilton and Alonso. Maybe he'll just quit instead.

No one knows that. It will be the first time Red Bull develop their own engine, but they've been working on it for years, and it's not exactly novices they've employed to develop it. There's been rumours about his dad, Jos Verstappen, being the team boss next season.

Performance wise they can longer rely on Wax winning and 2nd car in the points.
I think this is a bit of a move towards being a team again instead of a one man band.

Saw a video from the Belgian GP 1998, wet and rainy, everyone crashed, it seemed. How they get to race when its raining and poor visibility I won't understand - looks dangerous as fudge.

Thought Mclaren/ Norris missed a massive oppotunity.

Rain on the track whilst the red flag and clear up took place, what do McLaren do? Send out Norris first!! Why! Redbull far more canny sending both cars out last. So the cars in front dried out the track. Didn't hear anyone on the commentry mention it, but was obvious as the cars were lining up. Redbull smarter.

Norris should have been able to get back in it, but they threw it away!

they have been making dumb racing decisions all season, last year too

The flip side to that decision is that the first one out gets an early lap in. Everyone else runs the risk of another red flag and not recording a time at all.

The best solution would have been to fuel for 2 push laps and move slightly faster on his cool down lap.

On a wet greesy track, was a terrible move, as it wasn't raining heavily. Otherwise yes, first would have been better. Redbull aced it. Noris/mclaren fuked it!
