...but a lot poorer. Say Spurs went bust tomorrow - the money which I spend on football today, wouldnt be spend on football going forward. My eyeballs watching football (which is linked to advertising so the size of TV rights) wouldnt watch football (as much). Now multiply that by all fans of the 6 break-away teams and you see how much poorer the PL will be.
The new top teams wont be able to afford players from ESL teams, won't be able to repay debts,....the major leagues just arent credible without the top teams. The biggest teams would be a lot smaller than the big teams today.
Its why i think there will be a middle ground found. The leagues and UEFA need the top teams, and I'm sure the 12 teams would prefer to retain their links with their leagues and not **** off some f a ns
