Eric Dier

He came on and gave everything, and unlucky with the goal that was rules out.
He just isn't suited to a high line.

He's giving it a go - lining up, turned halfway to the player he's going to chase, cutting out some of his slooooow turning circle. Did immensely tonight.

Yeah, you can see he is trying to play the way Ange wants him to play.

But they could have scored a few more tonight because Hojbjerg and Dier couldn't keep up with their attackers.

Hopefully he has a few good games while Romero and VDV are out and he gets his more in Jan and we can bring in another CB with some pace.

Watch the third goal, where is hojberg? Physically he's on pitch, mentally fudge knows where he is.

They could've scored more because we were down to 9 men. If they time their runs right nobody is going to be able to keep up with their attackers.
 
Thought Dier did very well tonight to be honest. The defending before Udogie’s red card was magnificent. VVD had people spunking over him for something similar against us a few years ago.

I have doubts he can be effective in Ange’s system but well done to him tonight after all the brick he’s taken from a lot of our fans.
