Glad I've given you something to think about. So you are slagging of a midfielder who is a playing as a central defender while we were down to 9 men, interesting.

I think it did flick off the Spurs player as well though didn’t it?And according to footage they showed on NBC, it should have stood, as it most probably came off the Chelsea player.
Regardless, it was a magnificent finish!
From The footage they showed afterwords on NBC, from other angles than what was shown on the broadcast, it looked to mainly come off the head of the Chelsea player. But it is what it is. I'm in favour of less scrutiny and less VAR. Should go with the on field refs.I think it did flick off the Spurs player as well though didn’t it?
I assumed in the ground the decision was it was off bentacur first so that’s the offside… before the Chelsea playerFrom The footage they showed afterwords on NBC, from other angles than what was shown on the broadcast, it looked to mainly come off the head of the Chelsea player. But even so, the silly rule says* that if there is a through ball which would be offside but a defender intentionally moves and gets a touch on the ball, then the player is no longer offside. It is a terrible rule, but that's what it was. So are they saying the Cheatski guy did not try to touch it and it accidentally hit him?I assumed in the ground the decision was it was off bentacur first so that’s the offside… before the Chelsea player
Bentacur is bloody good in the air. Very underrated on that front
Bentacur first touch, so Dier was off for that I assumeBut even so, the silly rule says* that if there is a through ball which would be offside but a defender intentionally moves and gets a touch on the ball, then the player is no longer offside. (*unless they changed it this year)

Yes I know, hence my postBentacur first touch, so Dier was off for that I assume
VAR needs a tech upgrade. They need VAR specific cameras with as high a frame rate as possible to cover every inch of the ground for offside. They need tech in the ball so they know EXACTLY when the ball has been kicked. And cameras/tech to tell when the ball has gone out of play. And even with that, there will still be human error when it comes to other decisions.I’m watching it now
What they didn’t do is draw the line after it left Bentacurs head
They drew it when it was on his head… I know it was quick but that’s the issue with var
It’s not quicker enough for frame rates
NopeI’ve noticed a very positive, smiling supportive Eric in recent social media posts and I’m very happy to see him back, not least as he was denigrated and injured at the end of the season.
I just wish him very well today and the rest of the season.
And want to see that big smile later this afternoon.
Nope
Or maybe he is just injured. As Dier has not made the bench today I guess it means we have probably now seen him in a Spurs shirt for the last time.
Or maybe he is just injured.
He’s slagging off a guy who is brick and just walks around. So you are slagging of a midfielder who is a playing as a central defender while we were down to 9 men, interesting.
Think Ange has made it clear he's not in the planning
I hope Dier is smart and looks at moving out in January.
