ENIC

Yes, unless it was backed by Saudi money or something equally revolting, and I’m not sure how Levy would be able to buy out the Lewises unaided.

So the only scenario in which this is a realistic prospect is one where the football operation is deeply devalued but the property and events business appeals to a mainstream investor in that sector. A year in League One should do it!

Would you support Levy if he tried a takeover to get the Lewis’s out? 🤔

Pick your poison…
No. Our problems now are not a sudden thing. They have been the result of many poor decisions taken since we commenced building our new stadium. Levy made a vast majority of those decisions.

If ENIC sell Spurs then I would like completely new owners.

Yes I don't understand this spin doctoring that is going as if our problems started on September 4th 2026. It's hilarious how strong the Teflon is whereby no matter what his sycophants have to find some way to absolve him if his contribution to the disaster we are currently in.

Thats a bit harsh, just because they have a different view and you cannot persuade them of your view doesn’t make them sycophants

Levy guiding in the Chinese would probably be the best scenario. There was stories about that Hong Kong based consortium wasnt there. Hitch our ride on the future (this will be China's century, especially know America is having its Suez), rather than the dinosaur burners of the past

Ignoring the Levy element as that still very divisive, China certainly has the economy and the corporations to take on a PL club for self promotion/advertising, but do they have the need?

Given that a sizeable section of the support think that Levy bears huge responsibility for our current mess, I struggle to see how him ‘guiding in the Chinese would be the best scenario.’

Fair point.

But this could also be a play by VV with the backing of ENIC to publicly show how poorly DL had been running the club, which justifies their decision to sack him. Going further, backed up by DL’s decision to hire lawyers to fight his dismissal, this could easily be interpreted as VV sanctioning some accounting methods designed to show the club’s finances in a bad light which DL believes doesn’t show the true picture.

As anyone with executive level of accounting at a multi-million pound/dollar company will know, there are options to which financial picture you want to paint. Generally you want it to look positive, but in some cases, say perhaps you want to paint the previous CEO in a poor light, you may wish to choose another more damning option.

Joe Lewis was good at that (allegedly).

lol. If it’s a publicly listed company the CEO/CFO’s job is nearly always to paint as rosy a picture as possible to achieve their short-term bonus objectives.

But for a privately owned company, such as THFC, the owners have the option to downplay the financial picture for a variety of reasons. Coupled with the apparent resentment between DL and the younger Lewis’s, this could very easily be what we are witnessing.

I thought warrants are issued in this type of instance for debt provision.

ie ....they forwarded £100m funding and issued the warrant. ie the right to buy further shares at a fixed price further down the line, as an alternative to requiring standard repayment. (D.loan)

Without knowing all the details...If they wanted 5% equity in the future for the £100m that equates to a £2bn valuation at the time.... not exactly outrageous.

As it stands might not look so good the way things are going. ie it cuts both ways

I wonder if at all ENIC are thinking it would have been wise to sell to the recent offerings considering the potential decrease in value from current situation.

Yes Levy would head the consortium.
