how are you measuring football nous and can you give examples of current chairmen who you think have it?
Levy has saved us about EUR80m from playing hardball, refusing to bend, waiting til the last minute, not paying large wages etc.
Liverpool and Arse have made about EUR80m more than us this year by being in the CL whilst we play in the EL.

As you are fond to say, all the money* is in the CL.
*And thus all the glory, because money = glory.

I like the way Levy tries to do things the proper way, but all of this effort on gigs and F1 and slightly more expensive food offerings and slightly better this and that pales into insignificance compared to getting into the CL. That should be the number 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 target, get us into the CL and everything else is gilding the icing on the cherry.

I posted this in another thread I think they are all still current.

Enrique Cerezo, Aitor Elizegi, Fernando Carro, J. Henry, Tony Bloom etc etc.

Some work in other leagues but I respect the work they did and how they maximised their club's on field potential.

@SpurMeUp

It's not really hindsight as the complaints I've made I made at the time. An example would the squad stagnation post 2017. I understand appreciate the club had cashflow concerns so we're wary of spending. For me the solution at the time was to sell some out players at the peak of their status and reinvest that money I to the squad. I'm a believer that always needs new faces and I also think no player is irreplaceable, so yes I would have sold Eriksen and possibly Dele (was never the biggest fan tbh) and used that keep us fresh. The same way I said about 2 seasons ago we should consider selling Son before he got too old. That's my stance I want to see really intelligent use of the market and selling players is just as important as buying them.

Yes. Many great players have left Spurs, no player can play for Spurs for 50 years, yet Spurs continues. Similarly, a hundred extremely good players are hovering within our grasp each year, we just need to buy some of them. We have massive financial power, we just need to buy the right players.

We need to align a good owner with a good support team, good manager and good players, it's that simple, I don't know why all the other clubs haven't done it.

What's this in relation to?

From what I could work out, they pulled out of a YT and it caused a massive row which lead to one bloke having a twitter meltdown and then loads of accusations of them being a Donna Cullen mouth piece. TBH mate it was late and I went online having woken up on sofa after falling asleep watching cheers haha. so was abit of a blur.

It’s the dynamic angry uncontrollable blokes
It’s never them, it’s always others

I will go back to what I have said before : the Trust previously had access to Levy, for what it was worth. Now they don’t. It’s Spurs Directors - I’d guess Cullen. Maybe Munn if they are lucky.
Kat and Martin closed that door for the Trust.
As someone who studied sociology I really wish this stuff was more prevalent when I did my dissertations. I find the whole dynamic of these groups and also the added dynamic of social media fascinating, I even see it with my mum who goes to church and their committee, such a level of protectionism, ownership and ego that really prevents anything happening of much note. Astonishing how the exact same things appear regardless of the subject matter.

That is incredible.

Its basically “buy us better things, but make our day out cheaper”.

Principle 4 is completely at odds with principles 1, 2 and 3.

Absolute melts the lot of them. Dripping with entitlement.

I’m angry just reading it. I can only imagine what someone inside the business must think.
